Sylacauga attractions: Blue Bell Factory Tour, free Comer Museum & Imerys-Gantt's Marble Quarry

Sylacauga has an interesting history and several things to do that your kids will enjoy.

There are two free sites to check out:

& I

Did you know marble from Sylacauga was used in the Lincoln Memorial? The Comer center has a cool collection of arrowheads too.

The observation area is free and open to the public 9 to 4 daily.  Just pull out there and park and read the educational signs explaining about the quarry, marble and more.

Also if you plan a trip to Sylacauga make sure you plan ahead to secure a spot on the Blue Bell Factory Tour.

It's fun, tasty and easy for the kids to enjoy especially since they get cute ice cream parlor hats.
