Book Nook: The Man Without Shelter

The Man without Shelter is the fourth work of fiction by author Indrajit Garai. Although it's not necessarily the type of book I'd gravitate towards, it does have an intriguing story. A young lawyer and convicted felon (who leaves prison after new evidence is found) come together in Paris during a rescue operation, and separate, coming together again months later.

I liked the setting of the book, and I liked the unique concept. I also liked the author's descriptive work - I could really imagine myself in the story, and nuances of culture that were important to explain to a non-Parisian writer were woven in the story in a way that felt natural.

You can read a few sample pages of the book to get a taste of the story!
