I did a quick shopping trip to day. I had to go out of town to drop my car off at the repair shop {uggh, we need 4 new tires, but that is another story}. Since I was near a CVS, I decided to grab the freebies.
CVS:
5 Gatorade $5.00 – Got back $5.00 ECB
Free CVS Bandaids with coupon from scanner
Target:
We picked up a new computer mouse (not shown) and mouthwash. The mouthwash price decreased from when I posted it here, so I got them for $.63 each with the coupon.
Weis
I did the Brawny deal at Weis. They didn’t have any more of the 8 roll packs, but these ended up being the same amount of papertowels. I was so tempted to do another round of the Edys ice cream, but we really don’t need it.
Overall, I did good today. I did notice that the CVS was empty. I had to stop in a second CVS to find the Gatorade and they let me get a larger size bandaids because they were out of the smaller boxes.
How did you do so far this week?
Kate says
I did a quick stop at CVS…a Caramello bar (free w/CVS coupon), diet dr. pepper on sale for .88, and a free bodywash (liked the minute clinic on FB to get a coupon for a free one). The bodywash rang up at 2.77 but the coupon took off 3.00; in all, I paid .27 for everything. I also got a raincheck on the CVS bandaids; they were out of 20 and 30 count, but at least I can pick them up any time now. Pretty good!

the drug stores are still hard for me… but I went to Walmart last night and bought 25 items and got 20 of the items free! I only paid for my diet dew, milk, cheese, taco shells, and eggs… I don’t think I will need to buy dental floss for a year lol…
Shannon says
lol Shannon. I have a bridge – so I use dental floss like its going out of style. Sometimes a container a week :)

Did a CVS trip yesterday. They did not have the Huggies slip-ons(like a lot of people were saying) so I asked if they would take my CVS online coupon for the regular little movers instead and she said yes…. And suprisingly enough they scanned….she also took both of them even though it said one per transaction….so I spent $10 and got back a $10 gas card for 4 packs of diapers
Shannon says
vERY NICE, I do find that CVS is more accommodating with making substitutions.

Oh forgot to add….I’m having trouble finding the Huggies Slip-ons! 5th St & 13th & Rockland didn’t have them! Where did everyone get them?
Also, when you get the FREE coupons at CVS, both of the stores I go to, just give you the amount off, doesn’t matter what you spend. So for instance, with the free bandage coupons, I got 2 boxes of 60ct bc they were out of the 20ct. ;-)
L Olson says
Kim, from my experience they deducted exactly what the bandages were priced at, not the “up to $4.49” amount on the coupon.

I also had a great shopping day with two trips to CVS & 1 trip to Rite Aid! We got a lot of stuff, but I can’t remember everything at this point. 3 stores, lots of great stuff & my total for the day was only $2.27! However, the highlight of my day was meeting Shannon at the CVS on 13th & Rockland! ;-) I was starstruck….IMO, she is a major ROCK STAR! LOL So nice to meet you & thanks for the tips! Can’t wait to sign up for a class!
Happy Couponing!
Shannon says
Kim,
It was very nice to meet you as well. Your little one was so well behaved – notice mine took off looking at candy!
It is always fun to meet people who love coupons as much as I do. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Shannon,
You should’ve been there 10mins earlier when my LO was throwing his shoe at the shelf of stuff and knocking it all down! lol Oh, the joys of motherhood! :)
Shannon says
ha ha .. Kim you aren’t supposed to tell, you are supposed to smile and agree. :) LOL

Was at CVS on Sunday (a first for me) and I didn’t get the gatorade, because I couldn’t find #1 in the series…can I just get any of them?
Jen says
I bought 5 of the #2s that were prices at $1 each and the ECB printed out just fine. There was a tag under it that said “recieve a $5 ecb when you purchase $5 worth”. I was hesitant because all of the coupon blogs said that you had to purchase one each of 1,2 and 3 but I had no problem at all. If you run into any problem just show the cashier the tag under the product, it does not specify which numbers to purchase.
lovecoupons says
wish i knew that…i thought you had to buy one of each. should pay better attention next time! thanks for the tip.

Looks tempting…but this week I am taking off from shopping. We are well stocked, so nothing is necessary except milk later this week (which I can get for free!).
Shannon says
J, its a light week for us too! Enjoy your week off.
