How Does ShopatHome.com Work?
Many of you have been asking how Shopathome.com works, so I thought I would share this information on how Shopathome works and make it a little easier for you.
ShopAtHome.com is a place to earn a little bit extra on everything you buy online. They offer more than 200,000 coupons to online retailers, and offer Cash Back at more than 5,000 stores.
What is Cash Back?
It is extra savings on top of your purchase. At ShopAtHome.com, you earn Cash Back on all your purchases made through the site, and these accumulate in your account. Once you reach $20, they cut you a check. ShopAtHome.com cuts checks for users 12 times per year.
What’s the catch?
No catch. Every online coupon site earns a commission on the traffic they send to a retailer. The difference with ShopAtHome.com is that they pass some of that commission back to their users as a bonus.
How to use ShopAtHome.com
Read about amazing deals and savings at ForTheMommas, find a deal you like, and click on the ShopAtHome.com link to be taken to that specific coupon or to the retailer’s store page on ShopAtHome.com.
If your link takes you to a specific coupon, you’ll see something like this:
To activate your Cash Back, just enter you email or sign in if you’re an existing user.
If you’re already signed in, you’ll see something like this:
Just hit the blue “Activate” button, and you are earning Cash Back on everything you purchase at this retailer!
If you aren’t using a coupon, you can always click the blue “Get Cash Back” button on any retailer’s page:
Once you are on the retailer’s site, just shop like normal. You’ll earn the Cash Back rate on your final price after coupon codes (but you won’t earn Cash Back on taxes and shipping and handling costs).
Sometimes it can take up to 30 days for Cash Back to post in your account, but many times it’s updated in just a few hours. To view your Cash Back history and see how close you are to getting your check, just click here.
If you aren’t sure what you’re looking for or the coupon wasn’t what you thought, just use the search box at the top of the screen and explore more than 200,000 coupons, 50,000 stores, grocery coupons and more!

I’m not sure why my cash back amounts haven’t been posting. Maybe I’ve been taking too long to place my order?

Hi Janice! I work at ShopAtHome.com and might be able to help! Some retailers allow just an hour or so to place an order, but some allow up to a day or more. Also, it can take up to 30 days for Cash Back to post, and sometimes it’s longer in busy seasons – like we’re in right now! :) I would always encourage you to make sure you are logged in when you are shopping as well. But, if you ever think you are missing Cash Back, we have a handy “Missing Cash Back” form available here: http://www.shopathome.com/rebateinquiry.aspx
Happy savings, Janice!
