I went to Rite Aid to get the prices of the Monthly UPR and take some photos. Well, apparently I don’t know the difference between video/photo. Plus, I don’t know which way my camera on my phone is supposed to go. If you listen close enough, the video has a little Simon and Garfunkel in the background. So because I am a complete dork, I put the video in the post, so you could laugh at me. Other than that, the video is absolutely useless.
Here is the list and the prices of the items included (generating $1.00 UPR) – prices are based on PA store and could vary slightly near you.
- Uncle’s Ben’s Boxed Rice $2.29
- Dinty Moore Meals $3.29
- Folgers Coffee $7.29
- Hormel Chili $1.99
- Jif $3.29
- Orville Redenbacher Popcorn $3.99
- Betty Crocker Frosting $2.49
- Betty Crocker Cake Mix $2.29
- Quaker Oats Oatmeal $4.49 (ridiculous)
- Frosted Flakes and Rice Krispies $4.49
- Nutrigrain Bars $3.99
- Stax $1.99
- Chex Mix $2.99
- Planters Peanuts $4.99

I also found the Oberto jerky to be producing the $1 ups….
I love my RA cashier — she was the one who pointed it out to me!
Deal:
Buy 6 at $2.50 ea = $15
use .50/1 VV Q
get back $5/$15 UP
and 6x $1/1 UPs
so 6 bags of jerky for $3.50 or .58 each

All Sunshine (cheez-its) and Nabisco crackers and cookies (ritz, oreos etc) had “$1 up reward when you buy this item” tags. I bought Ritz and the Lays staxx and both produced ups. Store mgr. said they had some 10,000 tags to put up last night and 2 of his staff worked through the night to get it done. Yikes, but thanks!

Hi,
I went to RA this morning and the monthly bonus 1up+ printed for smucker’s squeezable jelly (grape), chex mix (bold and original), and lay’s stax. I’m not sure what the limit is though.

I am new to shopping at Rite Aid. I have the weekly stuff fairly well figured out, but how do you know about the month long deals?
Shannon says

Tags in stores.

I’m in CA, so I next week’s sale started for us already. Nothing was tagged with the $1 UPR. I chanced the Lays stax and it printed for me, didn’t try the JIF. Should have, would have been 50 cents each! Is there any way to tell if the items will print the $1 UPR if they aren’t tagged? By the way, I bought 5 Dreyer’s and 1 Lay’s stax for the $5 UPR wyb $15, and all 5 $2 UPRs printed for the Dreyer’s! Who doesn’t LOVE free ice cream! Well, except maybe my Ob. Guess I’ll have some explaining to do at my seven month appointment next week! haha!
Shannon says
@Emily,
