Amy headed out to Giant bright and early to do this week’s gas deals. There are many scenarios that you can do, but we wanted to give you some motivation to get started! {Note: The Kraft items were not included in this deal}
If you are new to Gas Points, you can use the gas points calculator to figure out your deals.
Here is this scenario:
Buy (4) Clorox Bleach $8.00
Buy (8) Suavitel Fabric Softener $24.00
Buy (7) Quaker Chewy Bars $14.00
Buy (4) Scotch Brite Sponges $16.00
Total before coupons $62.00
use (3) $1.00/2 Quaker Chewy Bars Coupon in 3/23 RP
use (4) $1.00/1 Suavitel in 3/23 SS – limit 4 like coupons
Total after coupons $55.00
Get $15.00 in gas from Quaker Chewy Bars
Get $12.00 in gas from Scotch Brite Sponges
Get $24.00 in gas from Suavitel Softener
Get $12.00 in gas from Clorox Bleach
Total Cost Calculations
- Fill Up 30 Gallons of Gas, this will cost you $0.00 {total earned in gas $63.00}
- Fill Up 25 Gallons of Gas, this will cost you $2.50 net out of pocket {total earned in gas $52.50}
- Fill Up 20 Gallons of Gas, this will cost you $13.00 net out of pocket {total earned in gas $42.00}
- Fill Up 15 Gallons of Gas, this will cost you $23.50 net out of pocket {total earned in gas $31.50}
Keep in mind that you DO NOT have to buy 4 or 7 like things for the gas deal, mix and match!

Today at Giant, I bought 4 Windex touch up for 3.75 each, used the BOGO coupon and I got back a 3.00 catalina.
I did the same thing at Rite Aid and got the catalina too. The deal is better at Rite Aid because when you buy 4, you get 5.00 UPR plus the 3.00 catalina. The only challenge is finding 4 of the touch ups at aRite Aid. I was lucky enough to find 4 at one near my home. At Rite Aid with my 20%, they came to 3.59, I think, paid 7.18, get back 5.00 plus a 3.00 catalina, so it was a .82 cents moneymaker at Rite Aid. However, I did have to buy a bottle of Extra to reach 15.00. I paid less than 3.00 for the bottle of Extra Detergent. Sometimes the deal works out better without the 10 or 20% discount.

This is so confusing for me.. if you add up:
4 clorox = .40/gallon
8 fabric softener = .80/gallon
7 chewy bars = .50/gallon
4 sponges = .40/gallon
That only comes out to $2.10/ gallon
Gas here is $3.49/gallon
My question is how are you getting 30 gallons free? You’re still paying $1.39 a gallon and at 30 gallon would cost an additional $41.70 for 30 gallons..
obviously im missing something, pplease help!!!
meagan says
And 30 gallon at $3.49 is $104.70
Ruchama says
You’re not getting 30 gallons of gas for free. You’re getting all the stuff you buy for free, because the amount you pay for the stuff is less than the amount you’ll save on the gas. So you pay $55, and in return, you get $63 worth of gas, plus all the stuff you bought.

im confused… I thought there wasn’t a limit of how many like coupons,just that giant only doubles the first like coupon?
Joey says
Hi Betty, no coupons listed above are doubling. $62.00 – $7.00 is $55.00. At this time, there is no limit of how many like coupons can be used per transaction.
Here is a link to the Giant PA Coupon Policy: http://www.giantfoodstores.com/shareddev/sharedcontent/savings/doublecoupons.cfm
Hope that helps :)
Shannon says
Betty,
The 4 like coupons is the verbiage on the coupon , not the policy at the store, verbiage always overrides policy.
Shann says
There is a $.50/1 Clorox Smart Bleach printable at clorox.com if you write a short review. You can print 2 per computer & your first coupon will double at Giant. Using 2 computers you could buy (4) Smart Bleaches = $8 – $2.50 coupons = $5.50 & get $12 in GAS.
Joey says
Nice, thanks for sharing Shann :)
Jen says
Awesome trip Amy! I did not realize the Kraft was included in the gas deals. Thank you.
Shannon says
