Here's what they wrote:
"We want to express an urgent need for canned vegetables, fruits and paper items at this time. If your church or Sunday school class would be interested in sponsoring a drive, or if you can help personally, please let us know at 205-425-7737. We are grateful for your help and the donations will ensure our ability to serve our residents and those in the community."
The center feeds thousands each week and provides boxes of foods for families in need every Friday.
You can also drop off donations at the outreach center between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The center is located at 608 18th Street North, Bessemer.

You will also receive upon request a gift in kind receipt for tax deductions. They are a non-profit organization.
The last big donation they had was from the USPS Stamp Out Hunger event and most of the donations are already depleted.
