Every time my cat ate this food, he threw it up. Every time. I’ve since switched foods and the problem is gone. I don’t recommend it!

I called Mars (maker of Good LIfe) They did confirm that there are ingredients in their Good Life food that they cannot get in US and they import them from Asia and India! So I’m betting it was the food that made my cat sick!

Thank you for letting us know WHERE they get their ingredients.I appreciate that. Alot of people ASSUME that when a company lists on their packaging where THEY are from – that the product itself is from there. NOTHING could be further from the truth and they KNOW this is misleading to the public. As some of us are wising up. The poisoned dog & cat food was a big wake-me-up years ago when China had put MELAMINE in their products…and all the dog food went off the shelves. So the last thing smart shoppers want to see on their products is “MADE IN CHINA”. (For example: FRONTIER spice company, Starwest Botanicles cheaper rival, is a US company, and they post this on their labels, the American city and state…but CHINESE garlic is what you are buying. I called them on this and they instruct you go to their website to see what spices are MADE ‘where’….and that most are made out of the US. But they LOVE putting the American address on their products. Because of companies deceptions, it forces us to do more work in our investigations of things.)
I noticed that the back side of the cat food bag says WHO DISTRIBUTED the cat food…But that only means WHO “passes this out to stores” – MARS! MARS is inside the US…but so what- that does NOT mean the cat food CAME FROM the US…After reading the negative reviews I too wondered it MUST have been made in CHINA…yet NO-where does it say WHERE this cat food was made.
WHY can’t manufacturers of things POST on their packaging WHERE it was made? Most do. So I’m thinking MARS does NOT want anyone to know WHERE this is from, as it is not stated.
I “like” how they told you “ASIA” and not CHINA….do they think THAT it sounds better to the listening consumer? Do they think we are stupid?
Apparently.

I have a finicky kitty- she is 7 years old and about all she likes is wet food- my other cats eat wet and dry- they have eaten purina cat chow for years with no problem( ages 14,12,10) I got the 7 year old some Goodlife dry food because it seemed like it might be a dry food she would like. She did. Then she got sick, threw up, ran a fever, isolated herself… She is totally an indoor cat so she wasn’t exposed to anything else I can think of.. Other cats who did not eat this are fine … Draw your own conclusions…. After almost $500 @ the vet, she seems okay although they said her kidneys may not be right… This food us going in the garbage!! I wonder if any if their ingredients came from China?

I fed this to my three cats. Within a month one of them began getting sick, throwing up his food once a day then every meal. Eventually he began throwing up blood and was passing it from his bottom. We thought he was going to die, these symptoms all happened over a few days time.
We took him to the vet, they ran tons of tests found nothing wrong and gave him a hydration IV and sent him home with instructions for a diet of puree chicken and rice. Days later we gave him a little bit of the dry cat food with his special food. Hours later he was terribly sick again. It was then that we realized the food made him this deathly ill!
DO NOT BUY GOODLIFE it almost killed our cat!

DO NOT BUY this cat food!
Everything that happened to Ashes kitty happened to mine, but kitty died! Before reading this, we thought she had FIP. Although, I always thought it was the food (after reading similar posts). Now I know for sure it was the goodlife food that took her life. I feel like such a bad mommy to her, for feeding her food that killed her. The makers of this food should die a thousand bad kitty deaths and rot in hell. I’m so devastated.

it is 7/24/14 and we almost lost our kitty yesterday. She is just over 1 years old and thought we were doing the right thing by giving her something more healthy than Iams. We had a $740 vet bill yesterday that was inconclusive. I am convinced this food almost killed my cat. She vomited 15 times in one day and became chronically ill. We are praying we are out of the woods, but not sure yet

We have been buying this food for a month now and 3 of our 4 cats are sick vomiting. When my toy poodle gets into the cat food he also begins to vomit! This food is killing my cats, one has sudden skin issues, her skin is all itchy and raw under her chin and down her neck. I will never buy this food again. I’m going to walmart to see if I can switch the bag for something else, anything has to be better than this junk.
