I do not use gift tags. I used to. I used to be super frilly and decorative.
Not anymore.
I haven't been since my second Christmas with kids.
What do I do? I use a Sharpie.
I write the child's name on the present or the adult and I'm done.
You may call me a scrooge, but I call it thrifty.
What about bows? Nope, not anymore, not even ribbon.
Why? Because years of research and field studies conducted among those receiving gifts from me yielded this conclusion --- they do not care how it looks, so no need to waste time and resources, other than wrapping the present in cute paper.
HOWEVER -- If I need to wrap a gift for a special person - teachers, boss, co-worker etc. I will add a bow or something special.
So tell me what you do?
Do you still go all out with labelling, wrapping and decorating?
Do you wrap and put the presents under the tree or do you wait until Christmas Eve?
I wait and put things out Christmas Eve.
