I do try to do special things for myself & kids as possible (new to us book, sweet treat, adventures on the cheap, etc) in addition to choosing gratitude (Thankful Thursday anyone? I usually take laundry pods & wash clothes wherever for less luggage/cost. Plus the Examen habit -I write down gifts daily, I must for my heart) 11.

That Christmas back in 2005, my husband and I were overwhelmed with gratitude for this beautiful baby girl that we waited 5 years for. There is also an Adopt-a-Senior program where you just purchase the meal ingredients for local seniors in need. In 2008, when our youngest was born, we started adopting a senior too.
