HauteLook’s fashion website is currently offering the Maxine hobo bag at $84 marked down from $395, so I’m happy I saw the reviews. These “designer shopping websites” have disappointed me so many times, that I’m going to stop buying anything from them unless it is a well known brand that I know and love. If you are on a website and see something you like, but don’t know the brand, Google it. Chances are you won’t find it in real stores, where shoppers can examine merchandise before buying. No, it will be found only on its own website, at a so called “retail price” you’d never pay if you could actually see and touch it. Or it will be on some auction site, where people are trying to get rid of things.

I disputed the Maxine Couture order with my credit card company, and I received confirmation last week that I would receive a full credit. Never received a response from Maxine regarding my concerns with the product: quality, color, etc. Sadly I am out my return shipping charges and all of the time I wasted on this endeavor.
Pretty disappointed in the Today Show for not vetting this company before offering the bags.

I ordered the Mamba Hobo Black purse on June 28, 2011. It arrived in August and I took it on my vacation to Alaska. The bag smelled and the black rubbed off on my hands and clothes. It was a mess. I feel that I was definitely ripped-off. I can’t find a return address to get a refund. I will never order an item from Jill’s Deals or the Today Show again. If anyone knows how to contact these people, I would love to know.

I ordered 3 of the Maxine couture Mamba Hobo purses in various colors. The black stained my hands and clothes and is of the poorest quality of leather. I feel totally ripped off by the company.
How can I get a refund? There were no instructions with the package, on the care of these bags, and they are now flooding EBay. I feel totally taken as I gave two of them as gifts. Please let me know how to get a refund.

I ordered the maxine couture Mamba Hobo purse in cherry. The red color stained my hands and my clothes. It is the most cheapest quality of leather I ever saw. They completely ripped me off. They charged my credit card the day i placed my order. By the time I received my order, it’s more than 30 days and i can’t cancel my order.

I also ordered the maxine couture bags from the steals and deals and the color too rubbed off on my clothing. Fortunately I purchased it with my Amex and if I don’t hear back from the company I will be disputing the charge with them… too bad for the Today show as I won’t ever purchase from there again.

If you do not feel you received the product represented in the offering, or if it is defective, contact your credit card company to dispute the charges. I did.

I ordered the Maxine Couture handbag from the GMA Steals and Deals offer…it was billed to my credit card and took two months to arrive! After using it for the first time this week, the black “leather” finish stained not only my hands, but rubbed all over my clothes. I want to return it and get a refund, but have no way to contact them. Total ripoff.

I ordered the Maxine Couture handbag and matching wallet on June 28. It was charged to my credit card right away but I only received the purchase today Aug.12. The handbag is very poor quality.It looks like plastic. The wallet is not any better. The openings inside for your credit cards are to small and you can’t fit them in. I feel ripped off. What good is a wallet if you can’t fit things in it. They should take it back but they won’t.

I ordered not just one but three handbags for gifts. Yes, they looked great on the TV show. I ordered them on June 28 and they got to me August 20. They were charged to my credit card on the date of order. When I opened the package I knew I was RIPPED OFF. The zippers do not work well and some of them were never stitched in place at all. The color got all over me hands. I fell for that TV crap. Oh what a RIPPPOFFF.

I ordered the Maxine Couture handbag and finally received it August 11th.
The handbag is the poorest quality I have ever seen. I feel totally ripped off! Two of the handbags zippers were broken. The inside zipper is broken and the outside zipper is broken and doesn’t even have a zipper pull.
I e-mailed Maxine Couture and my e-mail was returned “undeliverable”.
I have been ripped off!!!!

I ordered the Maxine Couture handbag on June 28. I never received a confirmation email although I have my receipt. The shipping cost was $14.95 & it has been over 5 weeks. Will I ever get the bag? I had it shipped to my summer address & will be heading home soon. I can’t find a tracking # on my receipt & I would like help on locating the bag. It has been paid on my credit card.Thank you.

I have had a similar issue of not receiving a confirmation with tangaroa sarong. I have also tried their website and emailing with no response. The charge has been made to the credit card.

I was worried that my order did not go through because I did not receive a confirmation and hadn’t received the sarong yet. I emailed last night and received a response today that they did have my order and it would be shipped out early next week.
