This is not related to the gas deals but I have a question. Did anyone ever had issues when trying to use coupons on reduced or discontinued merchandise?
Last night at my “favorite” Giant, the one I go to when there is no other option, I found a great deal on Tide. The cashier and front end manager who I already complained to Giant corporate once told me that I couldn’t use a coupon on the item because on the yellow label it said that it excludes all promotions and FSA (flexible spending account) which means nothing to me. The coupon beeped because the label on the product was covered by a yellow label so of course it was not a match. All they had to do is enter the coupon manually. I have the Giant coupon policy which specifically says that you can use a coupon on discontinued or clearance merchandise. Now I have to my another 15 minutes trip to get more Tide if they are still there.
Another issue that I had is that the cashier kept one of my catalina coupon for 1.50 that printed for the Caress product since the Caress is on clearance, it is only 3.74 and 1.27 with the 1.50 coupon. The coupon is printing after every Caress bar soap or body wash purchase. I bought 2 and on the 3rd one, she threw it away when I asked her about she said she didn’t see the coupon. I saw her put it next to the register then sneak it under. So I bought 5 more to show her that I know she took it. Needless to say my naturally low blood pressure was way up by the time I was out of there.

Since the english muffins are B1G1F, how does that work? If I get six packages and only pay for three, do I qualify for the gas deal? Or do I have to get 12 packages and pay for six to get it?
Cheri says
Good Question! I’m wondering the same thing.
Joey says
For Gas Deals, specifically BOGO items, it goes by how many you purchase. Doesn’t matter if it was free or not.

Thanks!!!

We go through English muffins like crazy at my house! I think the regular price at my store is $4.19 so BOGO for 6 should be $12.57. I have $1/2 coupons from 1/19 SS so a MM for me! We also need tissues so perfect timing. And like others, I need to take a trip or buy more gas cans because we’ve got lots of free gas coming our way!

Don’t forget English Muffins for Pizza night too :)

Hi there! I just found out this website and I have a Giant Store near me. I’m getting so excited with all these deals but can anybody please enlighten me. Do I need to buy 7 of the same products in order to get the gas deals or can I combine the products that are included? Also how will I redeem the gas points? Do the gas points expire? TIA.
Laura says
You do NOT need to buy 7 of the same products. As for how you redeem the gas points – go to the Giant gas station and it will ask if you have a Bonuscard (hit yes), then scan your bonus card and it will tell you how much off per gallon you have and if you would like to use your points or not (hit yes), then you swipe your payment card and fuel up like normal. And yes, the gas points do expire. You can see the expiration date at the bottom of your receipt where it tells you how many gas points you have. Hope that wasn’t too confusing! And good luck! :)

Thanks!

You can track the gas points and expiration date on your receipt or online at the giant website. There is also an app that shows your gas points so there are a number of ways to track it. For the gas points, if you want the full 30 gallons, you can fill your car up, then use gas cans if your car doesn’t take up to 30 gallons. Any points you didn’t use when redeeming your points will remain on card during that offer period so you can do it more than one until the expiration date. You can only do 10 deals per week though. If you do the deal 10 times of the (ie.) buy 7 get 400 points, it will show on your receipt that you reached your limit. This week the point were so that I have a card with 5300 points and after I use it, I will still have about 1700 points to build on next week. The gas points are a lifesaver for me.

Thanks!
