In retrospect I felt that I had lost an important time of my life – the college years. The time when you learn to drink beer and coffee, pull all-nighters, meet lots of new and different people, some who may become your friends for life. I was getting the education but not the experience.

Many reasons are given for this fact, including things like taking time off for children; picking low paying jobs; only working part time and yes, discrimination. Did you know that unless you get a masters degree you are likely to earn less than $65K a year for full time RN work? I studied psychology in school.
