Summer is gone. School supplies are purchased (or almost done ). Now it is time to get back to a schedule and routine. The first few weeks can be rather tough to do that! Here are some great tips to get back to school without losing your sanity {or your car keys}. Dollar General is a one stop shop to help you find all of your BTS and organization needs! Be sure to grab the $5.00/$25.00 Dollar General Coupon.
:: Buy a 2013-2014 Calendar. I know January seems far away, but when your kiddos school calendar comes home, get it all in the calendar. Get one calendar for your wall that everyone can see and one for your purse or use your computer. Make arrangements, juggle schedules early.
:: Freeze a few easy dinners or used boxed, quick meals. We all like to try and eat as healthy as possible, but when you are juggling, sometimes we have to go to the quick & easy. Check out Dollar General‘s grocery aisle for some quick, inexpensive dinner ideas. (think Spaghetti, Hamburger Helper, etc)
:: If you haven’t already, don’t wait to buy school supplies. Running around last minute is never good, so make sure you have your supplies all ready to go! You can find great prices on all your BTS needs for both all your kids, including college students.
:: Have supplies ready for packing lunches. Buy your lunchbags and any supplies that are necessary for packing lunch. Brown bags, containers and thermos.
:: Get uniforms, back to school clothes organized and ready to go. Get outfits predetermined and hang them up so kids can easily choose their clothing. You can find colored hangers at Dollar General and other laundry organizing items.
:: Setup a homeworks station. Pick a fixed place in your home to do homework. Choose a white board, tack board that assignments and notes can go on. Be sure to have the appropriate supplies ready for when school starts.
:: Have snacks on hand. Kids come home hungry. Grab some easy snacks to help hold them over from school, to give yourself time to get dinner started!
My biggest tip, take a few minutes of each day to organize your day. This will keep you on track!
And don’t forget, you can always save money at Dollar General. Don’t spend more when you can spend less!
Good Luck and have a fantastic school year!
