Growing up in the 1950?s

Men opened doors for women, women said thank you to them. There were no day care centers – women stayed home and raised the kids. Most telephones were on a party line (and yes the parties did ease drop on each other, but they also let us do ‘conference’ calls). Girls and women wore dresses or skirts.
