The 2013 “Doodle 4 Google” invites students K-12 to design the Google logo. Winning “doodles” creating by these budding artists will take over the Google homepage, seen by millions.
The prizes are high stakes: in addition to being featured on Google.com homepage, the winner will be awarded a $30,000 scholarship to be used at the college of their choice, and their school will receive a $50,000 technology grant.
This year’s theme is “My best day ever” which we hope will inspire kids to explore ideas that are imaginary, exploratory or even sentimental, past, present or future.
Kids can submit artwork from Jan. 15 to March 22, 2013. Google will select the best 50 doodles — one from each state — with the help of celebrity judges and announce the state winners on May 2. The final winner’s doodle will appear on Google.com on May 23 and we’ll exhibit the 50 state winners’ doodles at the Museum of Natural History.

I love that you posted this. I knew the girl who won from our state several years ago and I know that she had a wonderful experience. What a great idea! :)
