Walmart's new coupon redemption software, glitches causing problems for customers

walmart coupon redeeming problems.jpg

A number of

have encountered issues redeeming coupons this week.  Coupons from regular Sunday inserts and printables as well have presented problems.

While the shoppers are using the coupons correctly, the new system is not performing without glitches.

A recent survey of Walmart managers and assistant managers on duty in the Birmingham-metro area, confirmed there is a known issue with the registers and it's happening across the nation.

While some coupons scan properly others do not, presenting issues with cashiers and customers.

Couponers are being told a number of excuses by the cashiers as evidenced in a recent Bargain Mom wall post from Kayla Culwell and Cheryl Pugh.

These ladies shopping in different stores report the same redemption problem.

Managers I spoke with over the week have confirmed there are 'bugs' in the new coupon scanning program introduced this week.

So what are shoppers to do?

Go ahead and make your purchase, present the coupons, if the coupons are rejected and the cashier cannot override the register, save your receipt and visit customer service before you leave.   Managers are overriding the system manually and providing the coupon discounts.
