So do you think that the coupon at Wegman’s will be adjusted down or get overage?? I want to make sure that I get enough to cover a bunch of toothbrushes but I don’t want to make a special trip if people say this isn’t working. I guess I will put it on my worth a try list :)
Shannon says
I dont think there will be overage, I think the coupon will be adjusted based on their policy.

got this from the wegmans site, coupon policy for new york
•The double or face value of a coupon may NOT exceed the retail price.
shoot!

I’m so glad you’re covering Wegmans! Thx so much!
I really only have Wegs and Tops within a reasonable distance and Wegs is truly awesome.
I fondly remember the days of Acme and Giant Eagle…but alas, no more…

We are getting a Wegmans in June. I have heard they are a little more expensive but looking forward to a new store and seeing what they have to open. I’m sure they will run some great grand opening specials when the time comes.

Ugh! My walgreens refuses to adjust coupons. If the coupon is more than the item they refuse to honor it. I had a $2 off a product that was $1.99 and she told me it was impossible to do. SO frustrating!!
carrie c says
@Jess, it’s walgreens’ coupon policy to adjust down the value of the coupon to match the price if necessary (they have to physically type the value of the item in as the price of the coupon, if that makes sense!).
i suggest printing out a copy of their coupon policy located on their website: http://www.walgreens.com/topic/help/generalhelp/coupon_policy_main.jsp?erule=couponpolicy and showing it to the cashier next time they give you a problem. if they still give you a problem, ask to speak with a manager, they should be familiar with the coupon policy. if still given a hard time, contact walgreens directly (with receipt on hand for transaction numbers and such) and let them know of the issue.
good luck!!

I just want to make sure everyone realizes this is WEGMANS, not walgreens :)
Jess says
@Shannon,
hahaha I did NOT realize it said Wegmanns :o) .. thanks!
Carrie,
The bad thing was, she WAS the manager! She told me their computer system does NOT have the option of typing anything in manually and that it was not possible. I tried as nice as possible to tell her I understand what she was saying, but that she was wrong. I HATE doing that too! Sometimes I stick it out, sometimes I just give up. I have had employees at Target do the same thing.

Do you know where I can buy full newspaper inserts as I didn’t make it out to get my papers yesterday?
