Here are four things I learned after having grandchildren. My Aunt and Uncle used to take each of their grandchildren on a trip when they reached the ripe old age of 8. When the grandchildren are at your house, it can get a bit trickier. That first grandchild is so exciting. Your kid is having a kid! But, it is my house.

Such as our "First Christmas Together" ornament given by a great aunt as a wedding gift. or an ornament from my 1980's childhood. or my all time favorite ornament that was made for me by my great-grandmother. But the kids' ornaments really dominate the tree.
