This sweet little candy dish was a gift from my grandmother. I realize not everyone has family heirlooms to give away, but my grandmother was downsizing and gifted her grandchildren pieces from her Fostoria Glass collection that were my grandparents’ wedding gifts back in 1945. My great-grandmother made a lot of her gifts.

I am the mother of one daughter and grandmother of one grandson and we all (along with my son-in-law) live together in North Carolina with my 2 sweet dogs and my daughter’s 2 sort-of sweet cats. I sew – still waiting for a granddaughter so I can make some of those cute little pillowcase dresses!
