A Minneapolis news station KARE 11 describes my daily experience in driving the speed limit in What Happens When You Drive the Speed Limit. On highway trips, set the cruise control for a few mph BELOW the speed limit. Vehicle maintenance costs due to wear and tear from speeding up and braking more. Vehicle repair costs if you crash.
