Do you have to have the 15.00 worth on one transaction for the Up Your Game Rewards?
Alison says
I got over $200 of stuff for $4.63 (mostly all tax) and made more up rewards than I walked in with plus the $31 in SCR that I am getting back. I made only one mistake because I bought two shavers… didn’t realize that I didn’t get the second up rewards until I got home (didn’t see the limit in the fine print). It was a last minute sub for the Tylenol Precise because my store only had one and I had to get to the right total but I think that I was worried for nothing because I didn’t need both to get there. If I go back and return it, do they give me a store credit or do I have to figure out how to spend them on site? I want to be prepared because I have to take my 2 year old and he doesn’t have the patience to be in Rite Aid for an hour :) I guess I better get things together since I will need a million options based on their inventory left this late in the week.
KyleneW says
Has anyone tried a second transaction for the Up Your Game Rewards? Did another $5 UPR print? I did my first one today and made a few cents off of 4 cans of Pringles, 4 bags of Chex, 2 containers of Planter cashews and some Lik-a-Dip Valentines. Wouldn’t mind trying it again with the ice cream and Dixie plates. Thanks for your help.
Shannon says
@KyleneW,
it wont work.
sandra says
wow, sounds like everyone got stax, I went sunday afternoon and two stores were wiped out (a whole shelf each) and their food is normally overflowing with stock. However their ice cream is still pretty well stocked and I got those. 50/50 ;)
Lisa says
@sandra, The 2 stores I went to were also wiped out of the Stax. I managed to find other stuff to fulfill the deal though.
Amber says
@sandra, I got a few cans Sunday morning and there were about 40 left on the shelf. I went back for a second trip about an hour later and they were all gone.
Jenni says
Just got back from RA, got everything I went for except Pro-glide razors (my store has been out for months) got a rain check for them. Total oop was $16.34, and came home with $18.00 UPR. So everything I got was free, and they gave me $1.66 to carry it out of the store. Yippie!
Diana B says
I just went back to RA to get the Edy’s but they were sold out. I got a rain check with a limit of 6 (and I won’t get the UPR, I’ll just have to pay 99 cents OOP). Too bad I won’t be able to get the $5 wyb $15 UPR on top of it, but it’s better than no rain check at all. Especially for ice cream!
Carolyn says
Wow. This would have been a great deal. but both my stores were wiped clean by this morning (Monday) I hate to say it… but i wish they had limits on some of these things. It sucks when you drive 15 minutes and they have NOT ONE THING on your list.. geesh!
Amber says
@Carolyn, Carolyn, I agree. I think reasonable limits are warranted. There have been a few UPR promotions this week (razor and food deal) that were limits of 1. I would like to see limits of 2 on the larger items but maybe 4-5 on the smaller items (think toilet paper).
Alisa says
Help?!? Is this stuff actually free? OR are we just getting store credit to buy more items at Rite Aid?
Julia says
@Alisa, Technically its not free, but if you use+UP rewards to buy items that generate more +UPs, then yes it is free!! Then if you buy stuff with UPs that generate rebates, you are turning your store credit into cash. We all love getting paid to shop!
Janice K. says
I had an interesting trip. My $5 off $25 purchase did not work. They said I used it already…..hmmmm, not sure about that one.
Funny story though: I went up to the cashier and she started complaining about the people who come up and buy $60 worth of stuff, then hand her a huge stack of coupons, then end up paying only about $1 for everything. As she finished ringing everything up, I handed her my coupons, smiled and said “I’m one of them”. Then she said “As long as you have them, you might as well use them” Wow, her story changed quick :)
Diana B says
I had to make a very quick visit so I popped in for the Neuragen and Afrin yesterday. I was so glad I bought a $10 off coupon for the Neuragen from Dede’s Coupons and Things to make it a $10 mm.
Tami R. says
Did anyone try to do multiple razors? I see it said one per household but I never trust that. I would love to get more. Anyone try it? Please let me know. TIA!
Also, I got over $100 worth of stuff and actually made $26 today. Not too shabby.
Caroline says
@Tami R., I got 2 razors this morning and 2 UPRs printed.
dizzymommy says
@Caroline,
I bought two razors and only got one
Tiffany T says
@dizzymommy, I bought 2 as well and only got one as well!
Alison says
@Tiffany T,
I bought two and only got one. I was going to go do a return tomorrow on the other one since I didn’t realize. Since I didn’t pay the amount out of pocket, I figure that I have to get other things to make up for the return since they can’t issue cash right? How does that work? Has anyone done it yet? Why do they write the limit so small so that no one can see???
Tiffany T says
@Alison,
I love my Rite Aid. Since I caught it right away, The lady did the return, I got the amount I paid after coupon and got my coupon back. Since I paid with a credit card I received a return on my credit card. Funny thing I only paid $5 + and got back $6.35.
I am not surprised about the limit on the razor, it is a super good deal! I gave my coupon to my mother-in-law. Some reason I did not have a flyer in my paper that gets delivered, so I was flipping through at the store with my 16 month old…. hard to pay attention. I try to check every item for limit and here I missed it on this one…. :( Thank goodness for the nice girls at my store!!
Amber says
@Tami R., Bought two and only got 1 UPR
kelly says
Does anyone know what zip code the Afrin coupons are on, I can’t find them.
Thanks!
ANDY says
@kelly,
HEY KELLY;
YOU CAN FIND THEM ON THEIR WEBSITE
Melissa says
Thanks so much for all you do…I love Rite Aid now!!! Question, if I purchased a few of the items from the +up your game today (not enough for the $5 +up yet)…will todays items that I bought still count if I go back tomorrow and purchase the additional items to get me to the $15?
Shannon says
@Melissa,
no. it wont melissa.
Diane says
All I have to say is “Free Ice Cream!!!” Woo Hoo! Good day at Rite Aid. Bought 5 Edys and the paper plates BOGO with the $3/2 and $1 off any non RX purchase. Got back $15 in UPR making everything free. This is a good week. Got to go back cause I forgot a few things-toothpaste & toothbrushes.
Kyliee says
@Diane, but you remembered the important stuff ;)
Robin says
Did anyone else have a problem with the afrin coupons? Everything else worked for me but when they scanned the afrin coupons it said that the coupon didn’t match any item and the manager said that she could not take it. So my deal didn’t work out so well.
Shannon says
@Robin,
Did you happen to pick up the wrong one? I did at first, there is an afrin that is not the nasal mist – it is a larger size than the one on sale.
Robin says
@Shannon, No, it was the one that was on sale and the guy called the manager up because he said that lots of people had used the same coupon today and he verifed that I was buying the correct one.
Kristin m says
@Robin,
Same thing happened here, Robin. Coupon said “no matching item” and I’m 200% sure I had the correct items. The clerk just did them manually. Thank goodness, or I wouldn’t have done the transaction!! ;)
Becky Barley says
@Robin, Mine did the same thing on the $3 printed coupon. I had a $2 manu. coupon that I picked up somewhere(?) and it even said no match…Weird! I had the right size Shannon so I’m not sure what the deal was?
Kyliee says
@Robin, I had 4 Afrin coupons with me, plus a VV coupon– NONE worked. They begrudgingly pushed them through, though.
Tami R. says
@Robin, Yes, I had all three of them beep on me. Not sure why cause I had 2 from the Afrin website and then one from coupons.com. Why would all three beep? Luckily they pushed them thru!
Diana B says
@Robin, My Afrin coupon wouldn’t work either! But I was lucky because the manager said this coupon has been causing problems this week so she was prepared to push it through for me. I don’t think I’ll get any more Afrin though because I don’t want to press my luck.
LaToya says
@Diana B,
The COLORED Afrins do not beep – get the green, purple or blue boxes…the white ones beep…and policy states they do not have to take them – mine didn’t. Read the coupon numbers…the colored ones work with no beep ;)
Diana B says
@LaToya, Thank you! I went back today and bought the colored one and made sure it matched the code on the coupon and it did. Thanks, it went through without beeping!
Tara says
@Diana B, Mine didn’t work either but the managers already knew that when I went in – I tried the colored boxes too (I think I bought one of every kind ha ha) and none of them worked. I have great managers though and they put them through for me.
Stephanie says
Can you please clarify that you received $2 in UPR for buying two bags of Chex? There is no mention of those UPRs in the circular. Thanks!
Shannon says
@Stephanie,
monthly upr
Kristin M says
Took my sister couponing today to show her the ropes- and what a great week to do it! We walked in @ opening and she headed towards grocery and I headed in for the Afrin/Coricidin had a fantastic morning!! Rite Aid paid her $38.91 to take 2 truffles, 1 choc covered cherry, 8 afrn, 1 coricidin, 2 edys ice creams, 8 lays stax, 1 chex mix, 2 packages of dixie paper plates, and 2 Jif peanut butters. She could not have been more excited!
On another note, she cracked me up. Her cart was full of food, mine had the medicinal stuff (we split it up at register) – she said a woman and her son walked in and were saying something about “if anything is left” – and moments later spotted my sister with her cart full o’ junk (ice cream, stax, chex mix, candy,etc) – and gave her the nastiest look. I explained because the woman was there for the same stuff (even though we left plenty to go around!) Loved seeing the site of my little petite sister (5’0, 96 lbs) pushing cart o’ junk around the Rite Aid.
Amanda says
all of my afrin rang up at the sale price but no ups. did everyone else’s print for them? i guess i’ll have to call customer service tomorrow.
Kristina says
@Amanda, Mine did without a problem
alyssa jacobsen says
What is the heart healthy up reward and “on your game”? I don’t remember reading anything about those.
Btw, thanks for providing all this info. Much appreciated!
mary martin says
Early bird gets the worm – I was not early – besides my store’s freezer took a dive – I walked out with 2 lays stax – better then nothing – off to another rite aid, with working freezers! great week!
Maggie says
I went to Rite Aid this morning and bought 3 Afrin’s, the AMO Contact Lens Solution, 2 Colgate Toothpastes, and 1 package of Always Pads. After coupons and using $19.98 in UPR’s I paid $.60 but got back a total of $28 &10 was for my 2nd Healthy Heart UPR) in UPS’s plus the $7.99 SCR. I had my 2 boys (5 and 2) with me so they cut my trip short. I’ll have to go back for the chips, ice cream, smuckers, and peanut butter. Rite Aid has been great lately. I am stocked up on lightbulbs, fabric softener, dishwashing tablets and air fresheners and now Afrin.
Cost Cutters on Facebook says
@Maggie, deal on the always?
Lora Reynolds says
Thanks! I went to Rite Aid today and got a lot of items for cheap! Even the manager was impressed!
Tina Seymour says
Great job!!! I think we all did “free” today! Time to start planning next weeks trip! :) $4.30 + $7.30 tax and I earned $44 in + ups!! Saved $230.70 WOO HOO!!! I also got to make my BFF feel better by dropping off a snuggie, ice cream and some Fish Oil + Omega 3 for her RA is a blessing!
Megan says
Are the UPR’s regional? My Harrisburg, PA ad doesn’t show all the UPR’s listed in the scenarios. It doesn’t list any UPR’s for the Jif, Smuckers, Chex Mix, or the Lays Stax. I have not been to the store yet to see if they are advertised in the store.
Shannon says
@Megan,
no they are not regional — they are monthly UPR not shown in Ads.
Marion says
@Shannon, I see the stax on sale 2 for $2 but it doesn’t post a +up in the ad. Am I missing something? thanks
Shannon says
@Marion,
Yes – in the matchups you will see there is a monthly UP.
Maria says
I made a couple transactions and wow oop was $17.50 for almost $300 worth of stuff and SCR for $19.99 – a great day at Rite Aid, oh and I got my $20 reward… so happy
Thanks for all your help, without your site I would be lost and my oop would be way higher… :-)
melissa says
Wowee! This was my best week ever and it included ice cream which makes it better yet! I had a bunch of UPs from previous weeks so I ended up spending $6.42 out of pocket for $123.41 worth of stuff and then I got $65 back in UPs! The guy in line behind me said, “You did a good job with that!” Always nice to be appreciated. Only weird thing is that my second transaction shows less towards my winter reward than my first transaction. I assume it’ll all work out in the end, but kind of strange…
Lora Reynolds says
@melissa, Mine did that too.
Maria says
FYI – Todays smart source insert had $1.00 of 2 chex mix
Stephanie says
is the heart healthy rebate all month long or just this week?
Christina says
@Stephanie, I was wondering the same…also do you have to buy this all in one transaction?
Taika says
@Christina,
The Heart Healthy promo is for purchases of selected items between 1/23 & 3/26. It’s listed in the SCR booklet for Feb. You don’t have to buy it all in one transaction. I met the $30 requirement last week and received my $10 +up. Went shopping tonight and received my second $10 +up for reaching the $50 mark.
Rie says
@Stephanie,
Heart Healthy reward runs until March 26.
Christina,
You do not need to purchase all in one transaction.
christina says
@Rie, Thank you Rie and Taika! I wonder if there is a way to track how close you are? I don’t see anything on my receipt like the winter rewards thing.
Stephanie says
fyi – there are two different 15ml afrin one is ringing up 5.59 and one is ringing up 5.99 and they are both producing ups. the 5.59 is with my 20%
Maria says
@Stephanie, none of my Afrin’s rang up at 5.59 but my Coricidin did. Still a money maker…
Amber says
@Stephanie, My afrin is not listed as on sale in my ad:( I’m in SE Michigan.
Shannon says
@Amber,
Amber, it probably is.. there is no picture, look underneath the Coricidin small print.
dizzymommy says
@Amber,
I’m in SE Michigan too and can confirm its a good deal.
Cindy says
My closest Rite Aid (which I am starting to hate more and more) wouldn’t take my $3 Afrin coupon last night, even though the coupon clearly said ANY 24-hr Afrin and the Afrin package clearly said 24-hrs.
This was after the cashier and manager stood there with my stack of coupons for 5 minutes warning me that my UPRs might not print because someone else had used a bunch of coupons and their UPRs didnt print. The manager also tried to tell me I couldn’t use a Rite Aid coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon on the same item.
Krissy says
Rite aid rocked my world this morning! I got my other $10 heart healthy UP and the $20 buy and save UP on top of the UPs I Got for the weekly deals!! And I loaded my fiancé up with potato chips! Good day!
Amber says
I did two trips today- one when they first opened (though strangely enough I got there 3 minutes before it was supposed to open and people were already walking out with bags of stuff). First trip with my little one- got ice cream, Stax, razor, and toothpaste. Went back for a second trip once I had a sitter and did a second transaction BUT I must not have had enough coffee this morning because I tried to do the razor deal and ice cream deal again. Of course, no UPS printed. Dang it!! I HATE it when I do that. I just try and remember that I’m getting crazy good deals anyway. Now I’m going to have to go back for the dog treats!!! Whew, I’m going to need a big bowl of ice cream after all the shopping today;)
Krissy says
@Amber, I hate it when I get forgetful too! I kick myself all the way home, but then I tally up my UPs and realize I didn’t lose all that much “money” anyway!
Amanda says
@Amber, Is there an +UP limit for the ice cream? How many did you purchase? I’m glad I learned about the razor limit of one, I was planning to buy 2 tomorrow…but not since learning about the limit! There usually are never any left when I get there on Mondays so I am hoping my store will have a razor for me!
coupons says
@Amanda, She probably meant the $5up for buying $15 on the ice cream. I haven’t heard that there is a limit.
lee says
limit 1 on $5 for $15
casandra thompson says
More free dog treats…Beggin’ Strips are on sale for $2.99 and producing a $1 Up. The Busy Bones are also producting a $1 Up.
Use two coupons from SS 1-23

You will spend 1.99 oop and get back two $1 Up rewards – one for each item, so free!
Joanna says
@casandra thompson,
I found the the bogo but I can’t find the $1 off.
Becky Barley says
@Joanna, I found it in the 12-12 ss
Joanna says
@Becky Barley,
Thanks!!! I made my husband even look through the ss 1/23 thinking I was missing it!
Sue says
Just got back from Rite Aid! The manager was so intrigued as to what I was doing with my coupon notebook that she asked me to explain. She met me up at the register to see how I had done and was quite shocked…..$134 original total, $35 after all my coupons & I received $50 in UP rewards!!!! $15 money maker trip for me!!!!!!
Allison M says
I got $195 of stuff for only $3! Thank you so much for helping my family save money!
AMO Complete contact solution had a $1 peelie on it, making it a money maker after rebate!
Shannon says
@Allison M,
Mine too! Yeah!
Mel says
@Shannon,
Mine did too, but it expired 12/31/10 : (
Lori says
@Mel, mine was expired too.
Alyssa says
My store had the 1oz KY warming liquid as part of the BOGO 50% as well as the 5+Up wyb 2 promo. There is a $3 man Q on smartsource making this a MM!!!!
Shannon says
@Alyssa,
he he I am a prude, I never post anything like Ky or condoms. I know weird, but I always worry about kids sitting their with their parents and saying ohh what is that. So thanks for the comment — others will be able to find it here.
Alyssa says
@Shannon, no prob……having a 5 month old not being able to read yet makes a lot of things easy on me =P
Kristin M says
@Shannon,
Same thing could happen with maxipads. In any case, not a bad conversation to have :)
Shannon says
I am perfectly fine discussing maxipads with my 8 year old, but not KY Kissables!
Kristin M says
@Shannon,
Ok, so the KY Kissables didn’t cross my mind… LOL
sherrie says
@Kristin M,
For what it’s worth, Shannon, I appreciate that you dont post those. My two older boys have never asked what maxi pads/tampons are, so I’ve never had to explain…yet, but I’d rather not have a discussion about the kissables or condoms at this point! :D
Karen says
@Alyssa, Can you tell me what zip code you used to find the KY Warming? Thanks in advance!
Alyssa says
@Karen, I actually just went to look again and they are gone. Maybe you will have luck I either used 21122 or 90210.
heidi says
@Alyssa,
for the more expensive KY’s they have a $5 off coupon on their website, and a $7 off coupon on their Facebook page. Although I don’t think the $7 coupon will work because of RA’s coupon policy, ug!
April says
@heidi, I just tried to get the coupon off their website and after filling in the requested information, the Bricks Coupon pages says the promotion is over. :-(
Kyliee says
@Karen, Did you see the $2 off any KY product in today’s paper? (Seattle Times here) And $4 off the ‘fancier’ ones… I had to go look, lol, I remembered seeing them, because I had seen the VV too… Probably because V Day is coming?
sandra says
@Alyssa, is the warming liquid the only one that works? That stuff burns…
Alyssa says
@sandra, no all the KY should be included. There are like Heidi said $5 off the more expensive ones on the main site as well as $3 VV that you can combine.
Kristin M says
@Alyssa,
Thanks for letting us know! I had a killer day @ Rite Aid but didn’t know about this deal. Will be hitting it up again tomorrow :)
April says
@Alyssa,
According to another Rite Aid blog that posts ads a couple weeks in advance, next week the more expensive KY products will have a $5 UPR wyb one at a sale price! The KY Intense will be on sale for $24.99 with a $5 UPR; the KY Intrigue, Yours and Mine, and Kissable Sensations will be on sale for $17.99 with a $5 UPR. There was a $4/1 mfr coupon for these items in the 1/30/11 SS insert, making the deal even better!
d says
@Alyssa,
How much is regular price for the 1 oz? I’m trying to do the math.
Thanks!
Alyssa says
@d, at my store it was $4.99 regular price. Yours may be different.
sandra says
@d, there was a ‘natural’ non-warming on the bogo for 7.99, that was the next lowest, then 10.99 was the next
Sherry says
Wow more deals. I came home with bags and bags of stuff this morning. Went to two Rite Aids. I see some things I missed so another trip is in order. LOL.
If anyone got the Joy Of Football coupon book from Safeway there is a $1.00 off Chex Mix coupon in there that I used along with the video values making them a money maker since I got a $1.00 UPR back.
