Does anyone know when the catalinas expire? Will they still be good this Sunday? (10/30)
Laura says
Just wondering if you are lucky enough to find the Fall Saving Book, do the coupons automatically double? Like at Walgreens, you can use one Walgreens coupon and it automatically takes that coupon off however many of that item you bought. (Like a WQ for $1.00 off toothpaste and you bought 4 toothpastes, it would take $4.00 off) OR do you have to actually snag 9 Fall Savings Books? Hope this makes sense….

I just went to the store in Lancaster city. When I checked out I recieved the 3.00 cat., the 4.50 off milk, and a cat for a free dozen eggs. Went through a second time got 6 more boxes, a gal of milk and a doz eggs. The milk coupon took off the 4.50 even though the milk was only 3.55. at the check out got the same coupons again.
Lindsey says
Bummer! I live in Lancaster too and didn’t get a catalina for eggs.
Jamie says
Went back today to do 2 more deals. When I checked out I used a milk and a doz egg coupon, after paying I got a 3.00 catalina, a catalina for free milk, a 1.50 off catalina, and a 1.50 catalin off fresh meat. Went back through again and got the same catalins again. I also found a deal on Krusteaz cookie mix. It worked like this;
bought 9 boxes Krusteaz cookie mix $1.79 ea =$16.11
used 9 $1.00 off 1 Krusteaz cookie mix from the giant coupon book at the store =$7.11
recieved $4.00 off instant for spending $15.00 on these items
=$3.11 total or $ .35 each

Hi, I want to go to Giant & do this but do I have to buy all 6 in one transaction?…My issue is that Giant will only dble the first coupon and take all others that are like it at face value…(ex: if I use six .50/1 coupon they’ll dble the 1st to a $1 and the other 5 will be taken at .50 ea. But if I ring up all my boxes seperately I’ll get $1 off ea. one & max the savings)! Will my catalinas print out after I ring the last box?

Anyone know what the actual Nature Valley catalina is? I’d like to buy some of the yogurt too (still a catalina on that — buy 20, get $2) and want to know what I should mix and match to get the best deal. How many do I have to buy to get the $3 NV catalina? TIA…
Kate says
Thanks ladies! Will do the half gallons and try to freeze them for storage so I can do this deal. Hubby eats lots of granola bars! If I’m not mistaken this coupon takes the full 4.50 off your order at giant no matter how much the milk costs…as long as there are other items in your order to cover the overage.

Does smart balance taste different than regular milk?

I bought 12 boxes of the granola bars a few weeks ago at Giant when there was another deal. My husband thought I was nuts but I figure I will give them out for Halloween. Candy is not safe in this house!

can anyone confirm what the expiration date is on the milk catalina? I still have a few from the gm cereal deal and they expire 10/31. not sure I can do this deal if they have the same expiration date….don’t want to waste!
Leslie says
Kate –
Consider buying the 1/2 gallons of Smart Balance Milk – they have a much longer shelf life and are easier to store than full gallons.

The expiration date on milk catalinas is usually 2 weeks from purchase. When the milk deals roll around and I need milk, I try to go early and late in the week so that I can stagger the expiration dates.
I can’t confirm for this deal since I haven’t done it yet; however, I did the GM cereal/milk deal last week on two different days and it applied to both of them. I still have the free milk catalina from the last trip: I went on 10/22, and the catalina expires on 11/5.
Kathy says
Milk freezes, too! Just pour a little out first. You might have to shake it to mix it after it thaws… or use it to make some yummy cream-based soups — my favorite: potato!

Just tried this, in the first transaction I bought 4 Sweet N Salty and 2 Fruit and Nut, both catalina’s printed… 2nd transactions I bought 6 Granola Thins, and both catalina’s printed for this one too!!
Tammy says
I did the same deal at Stop & Shop today. My husband loves the Nature Valley Dark Chocolate Granola Thins so I bought 8 boxes, used 8 $.50 coupons that doubled, and got a $3 catalina and the free milk coupon. Totally wasn’t expecting the $3 catalina!

nice!
Pamela says
I have the same question as Diane… any idea if it works with any of the other bars… like the trail mix bars etc?
Shannon says
Pamela,
I can only confirm what I purchased. Sorry.
Kristin says
Yes, they work! I did the sweet and salty and trail mix in one transaction, and then I did the granola thins in another transaction! The milk AND $3 catalinas printed both times!
diane says
Do you know if it works with the sweet and salty nut granola bars from nature valley?
Shannon says
sorry Diane, I am not 100% sure.

Giant has rocked this week for me! I used a few of the fall saving booklets that I found to pick up cheap Fleishman’s bread mix, cheap Krusteaz pancake mix and cheap Krusteaz cookies too! Now, it looks like I’m going back again! Stockpile time :)
Shannon says
woot!
