Fast forward to early March 2020…pre-shutdown…my refrigerator was leaking and the freezer lights stopped working. The funny thing is that my fridge stopped leaking, and the freezer lights not working didn’t bother me. I turned the ground turkey into 12 Red Pepper & Feta turkey burgers for the freezer.

I had enough tomatoes to make a batch of my Roasted Red Plum Tomato Sauce for the freezer. I roasted them and put them in the freezer for future use. I donated the pop-tarts to a food pantry and I’ll save the apple pie for Thanksgiving. Plasma donation: $47. My butternut plant yielded nine beautiful squashes.

I have been packing my freezer with breakfast sausage, chicken, and Italian sausage–all marked down 40-50% off. Plasma Donations: $420. I earned $420 from 5 donations and a $50 bonus in the month of July. My time spent averaged about 1 hour and 40 minutes per donation. Simple Summer Meal Planning.

For starters, I didn’t donate plasma this month and that is usually my biggest source of extra cash. Noone ate the leftover corn, so I cut it off the cob and put it in the freezer to add to our favorite, Chicken, Black Bean & Corn Tacos | Slow Cooker Recipe. This yielded 4 2-cup freezer containers, which is not a lot.

Declutter Update #1

I pulled out clothes that I don’t wear and I’ll donate to the thrift store. My kitchen cabinets and refrigerator/freezer. In the first 3 weeks of 2014, I have made some decluttering progress. I reorganized my bedroom closet and dresser. I reorganized years worth of photos that were in boxes. The shoe shelf in our garage.
