I stopped by the
today and spotted a ton of new in the package and new with tag costumes for pets, babies, toddlers, kids and adults.
Most were scary but there were a number of cute costumes for those of you who aren't big on zombies, dracula and skeletons.
There were lots of Disney costumes, Mario and more -- all of the costumes were from Target. (Donated from last year's clearance)
Prices were $5 or less.
Some of the more complicated or larger adult costumes were $10. Regular price $30 to $60.
I spotted one used Pottery Barn Kids costume for $2 -- it was a cookie is size 2T.
Check your Goodwill, Salvation Army and others for Halloween costumes. Retailers donate clearance to thrift stores nationwide.
Tips for approaching a thrift store for Halloween costumes:
1. Plan your costume in advance.
2. Look for accessories
3. If your child wants to be a doctor, nurse, scientist look for scrubs and lab jackets.
4. If you're going for scary and want to shred your clothing like a zombie head to the men's department and snag $1 or less dress shirts and ties.
5. Call your location to confirm they do have an assortment of costumes.
6. Also look in the household area for treat bags and decorations on the cheap.
