I am back from my Rite Aid trip with a couple of tidbits to report:
1. Keep an eye out for tear pads by the Halls – $.50/1 30ct or larger – expire 3/31 – make these free after UPR & Coupon.
2. The Gillette/Old Spice Deal is definitely limit of 2.
3. There are tear pads in front of the Excedrin PM for $2.50/1 – my store adjusts coupons, so I got this for free. I only bought one because I probably will never need it and its not something I can donate.
4. My Betty Crocker was weird – I only got $2.00 for buying $2 and not the $1.00 monthly. Hopefully it was just a glitch for me.
5. I missed this in my normal matchups – the Bounty Paper Towels are $1.29 BOGO – use the $1.00/2 in 1/30 PG to make them just $.29 for 2.
6. The Uncle Bens $1.00/1 is for white rice or brown rice – the Ready Rice seem to be flavored.
7. The Boiron coupons – the PDF’s just don’t scan and the coupons.com beep. It cost me $8, but oh well, I cannot expect Rite Aid to take coupons that don’t scan.
Boiron is aware of the issues and this is from their facebook page:
I am already looking forward to next week!
Do you have any updates?
Karen says
Just wanted to update….when I went to Rite Aid on Sunday, the Boiron Coupons beeped and I was told they could no longer push them through or they would not get credit. The cashier took my coupons and attached my name and number and said one it was all straigtened out they would call me. On Tuesday I got a call from the manager that it was all worked out and I could stop in for my money for the coupons at my conveinence. So I went after work and was handed cash for them. So even though it was a second trip, it was well worth it. So my advice, if you get frustrated, try to be a little patient…my store came through!

This I copied from Boiron’s Facebook page. If anyone purchased the product and the coupon was refused, it sounds like you’ll be able to get reimbursed through Boiron! That’s at least some good news :)
Jenna says
Just a note on the rice, not all Rite Aid’s have a great selection, but one out of the two stores I went to sold the Uncle Ben’s White Rice in a box. It was tagged as $1.99 and tagged for the $1 month long food item. So, I was able to use $1/1 and got the $1UP making it free :)
Karen says
Shannon, I’m in PA and I did get all the Betty Crocker UPR’s to print. However, my Boiron coupons wouldn’t scan either — the cashier at the store told me they are no longer allowed to push them through or they would not get credit but they were aware of the issue….so they took my name and number and said they’d call when they find out how it will be handled. At least they are trying. So I will see what happens. I can always return it if they don’t do something to correct the problem.
Jenna says
@Karen, A note on the pushing through. I purchased the exedrin PM’s with the $2.50 coupon. I pointed out the q to the cashier (so that he could adjust it down) he called the manager over. She said the only way she could adjust it down was to manually push it through and then they wouldn’t get their money back on the q.
All that to say, Karen.. I’ve heard that too, no manual pushing through.
This time it worked in my favor by $.50
Karen says
@Jenna, That’s great it worked in your favor…but just seems wrong….however, NOT YOUR FAULT!!! So I’d be way happy with that.
Christa K. says
My Boiron coupons all beeped as well – the cashier was kind enough to manually put them through. I’ve never had an experience in the past year where my Boiron coupons did NOT beep, so this wasn’t a new or unexpected problem for me. Good to know Boiron is aware of it & trying to fix it!
Sarah Worthington says
Just thought I would let you know!! Just went there to get the Boiron products, & apparently the store was already aware of the glitch, so they issued a gift card for me to use instead of the coupons!!! they said that they will still get reinbursed if they did it that way!!! And also, I just check my message center & found a $5 of $25 coupon!!! So you might want to check!!!

Anyone know the limit on the biotrue?
thanks
mary says
Srange some of my UP’s didn’t print and the cashier told me that there as a limit of 20 per week.Hs anyone heard about this?
Shannon says
@mary,
Yes Mary this is true.
Shannon says
I should say 20 per visit.
chris says
@Shannon, Wait– 20 per visit? I thought I read somewhere in your site that it’s 25 per transaction…. has it changed recently? Thanks for all you do! :)
Shannon says
@chris,
It was 25 per transaction, then they lowered it to 20 – so yes 20 per visit/transaction/etc.

The way the items are tagged makes it seem like there are two different deals going, but idk..so any help would be greatly appreciated..”
I too ran into this problem!! I asked the cashier about it.Showed her the shelf tag,and was told to call Corp over it.I bought 10,so I should have gotten $30.00 in UPS for it.
I also bought the Pepsi—with no UPS on them either.Should have been $6.00 UPS.
I intend on calling Corp tomm about it.I hope they give me the UPS rewards I am owed.If not, I am taking the DEO and Pepsi back.
coupons says
@Tammy A., The Pepsi states one transaction per household. The soda is always one transaction.
Tammy A. says
@coupons,
right.I didn’t see that at the time.
But, I did go to Rite Aid today, and was told to call CORP over the Deo.Corp is issuing my UPS rewards on the DEO.
So, if anyone had that issue–make sure to call CORP.
Ann says
@Tammy A., I ran into the same thing with the deodorant. I will call!

Noticed that the Children’s Cold Calm has 2 Coupons in the package!
$1.50 off Children’s Chestal
$1.50 off Children’s Oscillococcinum
They expire 12/31/2012, so here’s hoping for another SCR on these in October! Put em in a safe spot!
TERESITA BABCOCK says
I got the $4 UPR’s on Betty Crocker.
My $3 Bioron Q didn’t scan but she pushed it through
My store had a limit of 5 Finess, and 2 Betty Crocker per household
My gillette body wash came with a free travel deodorant.
I live in Utah
cassie says
I bought 7 cake mixes, 7 frostings, and 4 cookie mixes and got all my UPRs! I was one happy lady, especially since we have 5 birthdays coming up over the next 4 months!

We have a pantry at church, where we help people in need. Lately, with all the great Rite Aid deals, I’ve not only been able to donate food, but medicines and toiletries as well. Lots of times these are the things they don’t have extra money for. Everyone is always so grateful.
Shannon says
Awesome!
baa says
Does anybody donate otc drugs? Where have you be able to donate them? I too have some afrin and motrin pm, I have no idea what to do with.
Shannon says
@baa,
I do but not anything with the sleeping in it because I donate to shelters. They do not hand out that type of med.
Brenda says
@baa, If you call around to the local shelters or nonprofits in your area you should be able to find one that will take them. Some are not able to take certain types of cold medicine though so make sure and ask before you go. The one that I donate to locally gets so excited when I come in, apparently I am the only one that donates OTC medicine to them. Considering how expensive these products can be to purchase and that not many people donate them, my guess is that they will be thrilled to get your donation.

All my +Ups printed today, which was great because I had to call corporate last week when my +Up Your Game reward didn’t print. But corporate is great to work with. They sent my missing Ups with no hassle. Just call the number if you think you’re missing some! I love that about Rite Aid!
However–no Mentos coupons in my paper, so no free candy for us.
msrossdaboss says
@Kristen Glover, how long did it take to recieved you missing UPs. Im stilling waiting from jan 18th.
Kristen Glover says
Wow, that’s longer than I’ve ever had to wait. The first time I called, I got $10 of missing +Up Rewards within a week. This time it took about ten days. I would certainly call again. At least they’ll be able to tell you if the Ups have been sent or not. Hope you get them soon!
Robin says
@msrossdaboss,
I had some missing from the same time and I just recieved mine on Saturday.
Maria says
@Robin, I received mine today, took about 2 weeks.

Boiron coupons problems:
None of my Boiron product coupons would scan either. I have heard that the manufacturer made a mistake in printing the wrong upc?
The cashier ended up marking down each item by the coupon amount.
Kristin says
I liked the Fantastik BOGO deal – 3.79 for 2 and used 2 x $0.75 coupons.
I also got my free Aveeno moisturizer coupon from the rebate a couple of month ago. I bought the largest Aveeno I could find (11.99 -20% wellness discount) – coupon had a max value of 10.99.
Tammy says
Also there are some clearance Finessee shampoo/conditioner at alot of the stores marked down to $2.49(50% off), i purchased them hoping that they would produce the ups since last week i found 50% off right guard and the did prodcue the ups, but they didn’t :-( so just wanted to keep people from buying them and then having to return/exchange them..
Tammy says
for the excedrin, not all of the stores carry the PM which many of us have the $2.50 off coupon for so be sure to check your stores..Also if you have the tear pad coupons ($2.50 off PM)and the $1.00 off any coupons, make sure you give the $1.00 off any(and i think there might be $.75 off anyone as well) b/c if you don’t the ones that are off any will beep when you try to ring them up, b/c that’s what happened to me..at store #1 I had purchased 3 PM’s and 3 reg. gave the cashier the (3) $2.50 off PM first then went to give him the (3) $1.00 off any and they beeped..but when i did it the other way they worked fine..Also i think the $2.50 off tear pad coupons are working on any, not just the PM, accidently gave the cashier the wrong coupon(at store #3) and it went through w/ no beeps so that might also have something to do w/ the order..
cassie says
@Tammy,
That happened to me as well, had no idea what went wrong!
Tammy says
I had no problems w/ any of the betty crocker mixes/cookies/frosting I got all that i was supposed to and went to 4 different stores and they all worked perfectly..
As for the Gillette/Old spice deal..I’m confused a little..
All of the Gillette and the Old Spice body wash were tagged 2/8 with 3+up when you buy 2, w/ limit of 2, and i got the right ups for those,
However the Old spice deo. is tagged with $4, 3+up making it only $1, with no limit stated, but when i purchased those i got none of the ups..so just wondering if anyone else ran into this?? The way the items are tagged makes it seem like there are two different deals going, but idk..so any help would be greatly appreciated..
Rose says
@Tammy, I think Old Spice deo and Gillette body wash are same deal according to the ad.

I bought both cookies and cake/frosting and I got the $2 and $1 for each one. My Boiron didn’t work either, but the cashier just manually entered it. There was a line forming behind me so I think she just wanted to get me outta there :)
Christina says
I got the cookie mix and did get the $2 UPR and 2 $1 UPR. I also go 3 Frosted Flakes $1.99 each, used a $1/3 coupon and got $3 UPR back – bottom line about 66 cents each box! Plus saw a Tree it Free on a box of Kelloggs Smart Start. That didn’t produce a $1 UPR, but is free and counted towards the Winter Rewards (although didn’t really need it!).
Also, all my Boiron coupons beeped too but the cashier looked at it and the product and pushed them through. She is my regular cashier and is really good about doing this if the product matches.
I agree about the rice, I didn’t get it.
Tara says
I bought 2 cookie mixes, 2 cake mixes and 2 icings and got 3 of the $2UPR and all 6 of the $1 UPR. Also, if you printed the $2 Welch’s coupon you can get those for .50/each (pretty good price for 100% juice!).
My Borion coupons also beeped but they put them all through for me too. Guess I got lucky!
Sheila @ A Super Savvy Saver says
Strange, I got the $2 +Ups & (2) $1 +Ups on the Betty Crocker w/both the cookie mixes & cake/frosting. My stores manually entered the Boiron coupons for me. Perhaps you can contact Boiron & get reimbursed for the coupons ?
;)
Jessica says
Shannon,
The Betty Crocker deal worked fine for me. I bought 2 cookie mixes and got 4 Ups back ($2 and two $1) and also got Cake mix/frosting and got 4 back for that as well, so must have been some sort of glitch for you.
Jessica G says
@Jessica, I think its the BROWNIES… I bought cookies , cake mix and frosting and got all ups last trip – bought 1 box brownies and 1 bag cookies @ lunch and only got 2 ups :(
Tina Seymour says
I got all my monthly $1 and weekly $2/2 food ups! I bought 8 cake mixes, 8 frostings and 6 cookie mixes. I bought 3 of the Bio True contact solution and got all 3 $4 ups … and the cake mixes rang up at $1.83, the frosting at $1.99, the cookie mix at $2 and the Bio True at $3.99! So I got additional 20% discounts for everything but the cookie mix!
Kristin says
My UPR’s didn’t print for my cake mixes either. I believe they did for the frostings and for the cookie mixes, but not the cake mixes.
Maria says
I received the 2 $1 UPR’s for the Betty Cocker making it a $1 mm for me. Also my Boiron beeped but the cashier still put them thru. Now to look for my Bounty coupons :-)
jennifer says
great deal on paper towels my insert only has 25 cents off one bounty towels though! :(
Tara says
@jennifer, Mine too – oh well maybe we’ll get better ones next time!
Amanda says
Seems to be a glitch with the Betty Crocker items.
coralie says
@Amanda, not only is the ritz on sale but also wheat thins, triscuit, nabisco saltines, and ritz crackerfuls. they have signs for $1.99 (this week) and $1 up (month long). l used my $1 off 2 from last week’s paper, but even .99 without a coupon is a great price for those of us with limited stores (i.e. northern maine).
