Last week I posted the condition of my toiletry stockpile. It was a mess! In addition to this mess, I had unpacked bags laying on the floor. I am taking The Tame Your Stockpile Challenge with Shelly.
So after an hour or so, I ended up with a nice pile to donate and a cleaned up stockpile. I filled our bathroom cabinets and this is really my “excess storage”. I took all the adult medicines out of the closet. (honestly, they shouldn’t even be there with Evan having access to it). I was able to fill up a hall way closet.
Yes, it is in a book case in a spare bedroom. (and yes, I read every Twilight book from cover to cover twice)
I kept enough extras – the amount I needed to get my family thru a few months. The only thing I did not donate is the Crest toothpaste – we get plenty of free, but I prefer the Crest.
So first, this will be going to the church donation center:
Here is my temporary after photo. I still have a few bags of items that are unpacked, but I plan on getting some shelving for the basement soon. Once I do that, I will post another picture of my entire “cleaned up stockpile”
If you have an-out-of-control stockpile, you have a chance to win! One lucky FTM reader will win a $500 Gift Card to One Kings Lane, to purchase some organizing tools or to just splurge on something nice!
So here is how this will work-
To enter the giveaway readers must email a photograph of their “cluttered” stockpile to admin@forthemommas.com. Five finalists will be chosen at random, using a random winner selector. The five finalists photos will be featured on the FTM blog. Readers will vote for the stockpile that needs the most help!
This giveaway is now closed. You may enter the latest giveaways here.

I have just started the CVS/RiteAid deals so it would be awesome if I could just stay organized from the start. Of course good intentions are not always followed through with ;) As for now I have my extra 2 deodorants and 2 toothpastes in a basket in the bathroom closet lol.

I’m so glad you’re doing this giveaway! Just the motivation I need to clean and organize my stockpile in our bathrooms! I’m almost embarrassed to send in our photo….I want to clean it up a little first….. but I’m going to go take a picture right now!

nm just saw you answer that same question for someone else :)

I have four children and also frequently give to the church so my freebies and deals go quick. I would love to be able to access my stuff easier with an organizing system.

We use over the door shoe organizers in our hall closets for all our extra bathroom supplies. We nail them right to the door which works great b/c they don’t move around at all.

I had just straightened up my stockpile right before you posted this before. To bad it’s not for a clean stockpile. Mine’s nice & clean. Until DS gets in to it to play with the bars fo soap. He used to try to drink the free gain but moved it so he couldn’t get to it anymore. He’s not quite 2 so we’ll all have to forgive him.:)

I have to say, it makes me feel better to know there are other Shoppers out there with unpacked bags of toiletries! I’m trying to de-clutter my house, too, and I found 4 of the BIG Target bags FULL of toothpaste, deodorant, etc. that I had gotten for free. I was going to donate them anyway, but now I feel a bit better knowing someone else has unpacked bags lol :-) :-) :-)

your pile to donate is wonderful and amazing. You will be helping so many people! I was smiling when I saw that you kept all the crest and donated the other toothpaste…that’s exactly what we do too! We don’t use anything but crest!

Shannon,
Do you donate over-the-counter medicines? I have donated food and health and beauty supplies, but I have a basket full of medicines that I wasn’t sure what to do with.
Thanks!
Shannon says
Jamee,
I do. There are two places that take them — one is a church that collects for the military and another is a battered woman and children shelter.
The church that does the collection for military is constantly looking for Zyrtec too.
sandra says
@Shannon, Zyrtec has a money back guarantee online that is good for cashing your store money.
