This giveaway is closed. Congratulations Debbie, Amber , Jamie, Denise and Tracey.
Moving into a new house can be very exciting. The blue floral wallpaper in our bathroom and gold light fixtures from 1979, not so exciting.
After two years of pretending “that room” didn’t exist, it was time for an update. Most of these updates we could do ourselves. After all, we only needed to strip the 30 year old wallpaper and paint, rip up the floor and install new floor tile, install a new faucet and vanity, and add new towel bar. This project was going to be short and simple! Right?
Making these updates on our own saved us hundreds of dollars. While the projects are fairly simple, having some instructions and information definitely makes a difference. If you have a project, be sure to check out Walmart’s Projects Made Simple site.
Walmart’s Projects Made Simple tells you everything you need and want to know in order to complete your own DIY project.
Project’s Made Simple also includes printable documents and your shopping list! If you have a DIY Project, you definitely want to check it out!
Each project includes:
- A video how-to with chapters for each step.
- Downloadable instructions (I still like printing things out)
- A list of all the necessary supplies with links to purchase them online
- Ways to share your favorite projects on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
Could you use a $50. 00 Walmart Giftcard to help with your DIY project? (5 Winners)
1. Watch a Projects Made Simple Video and leave a comment telling which one you watched. (required entry)
2. Leave a comment here sharing a Do -It- Yourself Tip. {Extra Entry}
3.3. Follow FTM on Google Plus or Facebook Group and leave a comment that you did. {Extra Entry}

I follow FTM on Facebook. I watched the paint a room and change a light fixture videos both. My tip is the wonder of saran wrap. I have glass roll-out shelves in my fridge like so many. The bottom shelf is dedicated to the meat products but the packages can leak or have residue sometimes. To keep it clean I line the shelf with saran wrap and change it once a month or more if needed. Cheap and easier and less messy than scrubbing.

I have been following for the mommas on facebook and appreciate it. Thank you.
My tip I just used this week. We are moving my mother into a new nursing home. I already liked the arrangement of the various pictures i did at her last home. I left the nails in place while i held a sheets of taped together newspaper (the shiny ads shouldn’t get ink all over you or the walls – you can use gift wrap also if you haven’t anything else) over the area and used a marker to mark where i had the nails. When we moved, someone help the newspaper where I wanted the pictures to go and i hammers the small nails on the mark. Then tear away the paper and the arrangement easily hangs exactly as you had it. You can also use this idea to arrange the pictures before you hang by placing the pictures on the floor or a bed with face down. Now lay the paper over and mark where they will hang. So easy.

My advice is to read the directions through several times before beginning your project.
