Hey guys! Checking in with you again this week! I hope everyone is well!
I wanted to keep showing you how my gas deals are working for me and my family! This fill up, I will have an extra 5 Gallons, as we are getting into lawn mower season and my hubs will start to need gas for our lawn mower.
Many of you still had questions last week after my Why You Should Be Doing Gas Deals post. I am hoping by showing you my weekly trips you will get the jist of it.
This week was really an opportunity to stock up on water for baseball season, natural Musselmans Apple Sauce and some frozen Ravoli for easy spring dinners.
So here is what I did. Remember, if you use the full 30 gallons as I discussed here, your deal is better!
My deal:
Buy (12) Deer Park Water $24.00
Buy (6) Musselman Applesauce $12.00
Buy (3) Campbells Soup $7.50
Buy (14) Rosie Frozen Pasta $21.00
Buy (1) Snyders Hanover Pretzels $3.00
Buy (2) Vita Coco Waters $4.00
Total Before Coupons $71.50
use (5) Mama Rosies $1.00/2 Coupons (from here and several other sources)
Pay $66.50
Earned (2) $.50 Gallon
Earned (4) $.40 Gallon
Total off per gallons = $2.60
My personal gas fill this week $59.80
My Cost = $6.70
* The Jif was not included in the gas deals.
I wanted to give you another calculation on this gas deal if you were using a 15 gallon fill up or just half the gas points available.
Pay $66.50
Get $39.00 in gas
$27.50 after gas points
So how does this compare to retail – Total Before Savings $119.01 down to $27.50. That is still a HUGE savings! Happy Shopping!

Thanks for sharing. I never appreciated the gas deals until I checked out your website. Now my pantry is fuller and I don’t panic if my gas tank is on E :).

I just went to Giant, again. I bought 8 more raviolis, paid $8.00, got $.50 off per gallon. I get 30 gallons, so that is $15.00, a $7.00 MM. My only problem now is that I am running out of freezer space. I need somebody to donate a freezer to me!!

I’m running out of freezer space, too. I had frozen pizza two nights in a row last week because those boxes are such a weird shape that they take up so much freezer room. (Although, actually, having one frozen pizza box in there, vertically, kind of creates a divider and helps keep things organized.) I’ve been keeping an eye on craigslist for a small freezer, but I haven’t seen one yet. (I’m also trying to remember that I might be moving at the end of the school year, and that I can just put canned goods and pasta and stuff into boxes and bring them to my new place, but I can’t do that with frozen stuff, so I’m trying not to stock up too much until I know for sure whether I’m moving or not.)

I take my frozen pizzas out of the box and stack them if I start to run out of freezer space. Makes a lot more room :)

Remember, you can get an Igloo chest freezer (5.2 sq. ft.) at Acme for $159, while supplies last. Further, they give you coupons worth $158.

Do we have to do each gas deal in a seperate transaction? I want to get the water and applesauce. They are part of the same gas deal so would I have to seperate them to get the points for both?
Shannon says
Mindy,
No. I did them all together in one transaction.
Mindy says
Thanks! That’s great, I hate having go do seperate transactions but I will to get a good deal.
Thanks for the quick answer!
