I know, I know.it goes against everything we’ve ever been taught! NO ONE wears sandals and socks except the occasional tourist at Disneyland. But lately I’ve seen this look popping up on girls everywhere – including on one of my favorite bloggers, Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere - and it can actually be really cute! So I’m ready to give this trend my stamp of approval.

Good Morning! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. What did you do? Anything fun and exiting? I had a picnic by the water on Friday, met up with friends for lunch on Saturday, movies Saturday night and beach all day Sunday- it was a much needed and much enjoyed weekend. Alright, so on to my outfit. I bought this dress at the beginning of Spring/Summer, but have really only worn it once because it has an awkward bubble hem that doesn't quite bubble out as much as it should.

It is less than 100 degrees here today and we Dallasites are all super excited. Nathan chose my necklace today. One of my favorite things about clothing is that each piece of clothing we wear creates a feeling. That feeling comes mainly from our previous experiences, so whether it feels like a good or bad piece of clothing is a reaction from the inside. Romance is the feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. And as far as clothing is concerned, there is nothing as romantic as a feminine blouse.

I have to admit that my favorite piece of clothing in my closet is my Boyfriend Cardigan. Those who know me would attest to that, considering how much I wear it. I actually saw this skirt over a month ago at my F21 in the Cherry Hill Mall but they were sold out. There was one left on the mannequin but it had a hold tag on it for someone and I was devastated. BTW, did you know you can hold items if you see something on the mannequin that you like? Just ask the salesperson to put your name and number on it and they’ll call you when they switch out the clothes–but act fast!

With summer in full swing, I’m constantly looking for ways to remain stylish and cool. I pretty much live in dresses during the months of July and August – seeing that they are the coolest (and easiest) options! What I love about the one shoulder dress is that the asymmetrical neckline is almost an accessory in itself! So not only can you throw on a dress, but with the added attention at the neckline, you don’t even need a necklace!

I couldn’t be more obsessed with these! They’re just the thing to wear with jean shorts, tucked into flirty skirts, with jeans or over leggings. I know some people borrow theirs from their BF’s or husbands but I’m super petite and they never seem to look quite right on me. If you buy only one thing this year make it a military/utility jacket or vest. It is something that can be worn every which way and in almost every season. The twill fabric makes an ideal transition piece because it covers up while breathing, which is perfect for spring and late summer. You will have a blast dressing this jacket up and down.
