Walmart Price Match Policy
Wal-Mart has announced a holiday price guarantee program.
The price guarantee program is good on purchases made November 1st through December 25th that are available at a competitor’s store within the same local market. Under the Christmas Price Match program, Walmart will offer shoppers a refund on the difference if they find the same product they purchased at a Wal-Mart store advertised for a lower price elsewhere.
To get a gift card for the difference, customers must bring in their original receipt and the local competitor’s printed ad before December 25th . Items placed on Walmart layaway are also eligible for the Christmas price guarantee.
The offer excludes Black Friday ads and Internet pricing, among other restrictions.
Don’t forget that you can also take advantage of Walmart Layaway.

i WENT TO WAL MART AND THEY REFUSED THE PRICE MATCH FOR ME , I KNEW IT WAS A JOKE

Walmart does still have the AD MATCH policy that is still in effect on BF.
Sears won’t match prices on BF
Best Buy won’t match prices BF.
Some companies are full of it…They already know most products are customized to sell exclusively i their stores.. Finding it at a different competitor is probably impossible.
Go to the website and read and determine for yourself all answers on the board are meaningless if you don’t followup. You’ll be in line for nothing. Most products are gone within an hour or two of the store opening.

The new holiday policy is described in detail here, along with the regular policy:

My only question is this. We are on a tight budget this year for Christmas. I was going to wait and take advantage of black friday deals. Will Walmart match Black Friday ad prices from competitors? If not, probably won’t help me much
Barbara Norris says
Walmart does match black friday ads as long as its on black friday
What this policy is saying is that you could buy something November 1st then you have up til dec 25th to bring the receipt back in and ad from another store offering that same item for lower price ….. The only thing it wont allow you to do is bring the black friday ad in and get lower price on item you bought previously

Thanks Barbara! I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking about going black Friday shopping now at Walmart instead of going during the madness but you just answered my question that this does not apply to that. Shucks, oh well.

I did really well last year bringing all my ads to walmart to PM on BF last year. Got most of my shopping done there and didn’t need to go to many other stores. So keep that in mind! :)
JEN C says
I did the same thing as Danielle. As long as you are at Wal-Mart during the advertised sale time as the other stores, you can PM. This works great for DVD’s and toys that aren’t in the Wal-Mart ad, because you won’t have to fight for them.

Grocery not eligible. But all in all a good idea!
Maybe I can now convince my wife not to wrap her gifts so early!!
Daniel H says
Actually, now she can wrap them early. All you need is the receipt. So now you can wrap them early and not have to worry if someone else ends up with a lower price (unless, of course, the lower price is online, which is probably more than likely the case) :)

Drats! you’re right.

I tried to price match walmart.com to a local rite aid store with an advertised sale in print and walmart.com would not price match it. I guess because they don’t offer the product in their store, just online.
I just wanted people to know this..
