Make Way for a Give-A-Way!

The Bargain Hunter Extraordinaire

One of the most excited moments for me is when I come home from a crazy day at work, go to my mailbox and find that someone has just sent me an unexpected present, card, or occasional check. Even those these moments do not happen as often as I would like, I still look forward to the days when they do. Well, CSNstores and I would like to be able to give ONE lucky winner a day like that.

See these shoes…

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

I need them…I’m only 5′0″ so I’m all about the highest heel possible…too bad these cost $630 ! These are the Casadei Signature 3504 Triple Platform pump and both Kate Hudson and Sandra Bullock were wearing them tonight to give themselves an extra 5.5″ over their fellow Hollywood A-listers. Now for the rest of us that don’t have multi-million dollar paychecks, Miss Me has a similar “triple platform&# pump that comes in grey, black and tan.

This Is the Part Where We Fall In Love

Work With What You've Got

(Did you guys notice the improvement in the quality of my pictures? We started using the Rebel. Nathan said I don’t need a lens; I need to be not lazy and learn to use it. Nathan is taking the pics for now, until I have time to learn to use the remote and take them myself, and close ups are really hard to do, but the pictures are much better. Big thanks to my Brother-In-Law Bobby who gave it to us.

Deal of the Week: Emerald Dress

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

This may be the cutest dress hanging in my closet right now! I purchased this gorgeous green dress in Dallas over XMAS and I almost had to get in a fight with another girl to get it! I liked it so much I even bought it in a bigger size (it was the last one, hence the almost-brawl) and just took it to my tailor for some easy alterations. This dress retails for less than $25 but it looks like a true designer buy!

The Hair Guide: The Fedora

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

I am all about “ easy breezy ” hairstyles… quick fixes on those days when you wake up to a crazy afro, or worse…hair that is limp and lifeless. We saw a comeback of the fedora last year, when it could be found in every other store and girls and guys alike were going crazy for it. I never had a chance to participate in the trend , so I was thrilled when I found out that the fedora is back this year and better than ever !

Look for Less- Ann Demeulemeester Lace Up Boots

Fashion Without Guilt

Sea of Shoes by Jane is one of my favorite fashion bloggers for Inspiration. I saw her frequently wear the Ann Demeulemeester Lace Up Boots. These are very interesting shoes. They are a cluster of many shoes merged into one. They a look of a sneaker with a heel and openings like a sandal. I guess they just wanted a all purpose HEEL BOOT. I do not know the extact retail price but from ebay they look like they are going for $600 on up.

Before yall freak out, let me point out that I’m using this pic as my DON’T image. The Bargain Hunter Extraordinaire

I think I am starting to get sick (blah!). Over the weekend, I started not to feel too well, but I drank a lot of tea and felt fine. Today, though, I could hardly wake-up my eyes were so heavy, and I can’t stop sneezing. ooh n ot good! Hopefully the fact that I have been drinking nothing but mint green tea (yummy!) and water all day will help me feel better.

Last week we reviewed and you voted culotte style shorts (look three) as your favorite. This week we’re admiring the fashionable and brave thigh-high boots wearers. These tall boots were all over the runway for fall 2009, and now we’re beginning to see them on the streets. Our first look, by agogofashion on chictopia, goes for a bohemian look in a faux-fur vest, a loose blouse, leggings, and gorgeous brown boots.

Beauty Must-Have: Eos Lip Balm

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

You all know that I love a good drugstore beauty find and this week’s must-have is not only unique, it’s as easy to attain as running down the street to CVS: Eos Lip Balm. An acronym for evolution of smooth (how can you say no to this, seriously…), I had never heard of the brand until I spotted one of its print ads in last month’s Elle. The ad itself wasn’t particularly eye-catching and in fact, the page was almost empty save what appeared to be a nest of tiny green eggs in the corner.

Phillip Lim sent this creation right down his runway, but that kind of workmanship and attention to detail will cost you big bucks! Frugal Tip Monday- Makeup Repair Tips to Save You Money

Fashion and Beauty go hand in hand. Makeup is the next step to finishing your overall look. Whether it be just a gloss to the lips , a basic liner , or bronzer on the cheeks ; Makeup is very important. Makeup is very different than fashion in some ways. With fashion you can have a certain item and you are able to wear it until "the cows come home". In other words, you never have to get rid of it.

Velvet Underground

Velvet can sometimes be a very illusive fabric… I love the richness, the feel and the luxury of something that soft, but it’s always stumps me when it comes to to wearing it correctly and the problem might just be my association with it…I think of velvet and images of Renaissance festivals and people who spend too much time in their Dugeons and Dragons RPG games come to mind.

I think the thing I like most about Diane Kruger ’s style is how she somehow manages to consistently take risks yet never seems to go overboard. I love that.
