Oh Yes, New Boots!

The Bargain Hunter Extraordinaire

Like my new boots? I love wedge boots because they give you some nice height, but are so easy to walk in and so comfortable as well. I ordered these boots from UrbanOg.com a few weeks ago and was so excited when the weather was a little cooler yesterday to be able to wear them. Yippee! Normally I would wear this outfit with some kind of dressy heel; however being the wild child I am, I decided to go daring and add my new boots to the mix.

I Bet You Think I'm Kidding, I Promise You It's True

Work With What You've Got

This is how I feel about my haircut. Notice it looks pretty much the same. No bangs. (Forgive the frizz it has blessedly been raining for several hours here.) Would you like to hear a story? It has a pretty negative overall tone to it and I’m a little whiney in it. So if you are not in the mood for that, that’s cool. You can come back on another day and I’ll be chipper again, I promise.

Beauty: Voluminous Curls

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

Lately, voluminous waves like these are my favorite way to style my hair! Styling it this way looks like it took so much time when it really only took 15 minutes ! My trick to getting perfect curls so fast, is curler clips + hot rollers from CONAIR. First, if you don’t already have them, buy curlers…they’re faster than an iron! I only use the larger sized ones out of my jet and that easily gets the job done, but you can use as many as you need.

Look for Less: Steve Madden Roady

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

These are hands down one of my favorite pairs of boots that have come out in the past few seasons! What many don’t realize is that the Steve Madden Roady (pictured here as the “look&# ) is actually a knock-off of a Charles David boot…which I own. I splurged on it last Fall because it’s the kind of boot that makes everything look totally bad-ass and they were so comfortable I couldn’t imagine leaving the store without them!

Harper’s named it “The New Classic Bag” in their September issue, and style icons alike including Leighton Meester, Kate Bosworth and Olivia Palermo have been spotted out and about with this little number resting in the crook of their arms or slung over their shoulders. It’s the latest feminine spin on the men’s briefcase, inspired by none other than UK fashion icon, Alexa Chung.

Crave & Save: Burberry Trench

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

Trench coats have always been my favorite type of coat. When I bought my first trench, I tried my damndest to wear it into the winter months, but after the first snowfall, I realized that it was time to put it away until springtime. The trench is the perfect jacket for in between seasons: when it’s too cool for your leather jacket or cardigan, but too warm for your wool coat.

You CAN do Leather: Skirts!

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

What We Want (WWW): October

Cheap Chica's Guide To Style

1. Meaghan: My pick for October is the leather short. Originally, I was really on-the-fence with this trend, but I recently crossed over to the “love” side when I started seeing some roomier styles. You’re treading on dangerous waters with a material like leather, as you don’t want them to be too short or too tight. The slouchier styles we’ve been seeing recently are so chic, and I love this look with or without tights- so they’re perfect for this crisp October weather. 2.

Don’t get me wrong; like my fellow contributors, I am all about neutrals for Fall. I seriously can’t get enough of them.
