This deal normally works and has worked for other readers. As with all deals, things may go wrong – therefore, use your discretion when using shelf price at Weis to calculate your deals.

I had the same problem yesterday at Weis in Oley. The cat didn’t print based on shelf price. This is not the first time I had this problem at this location. I wonder if it depends on the store as I shop another Weis in a different county when at work and the cat always prints on the shelf price.

I had a terrible time with this deal. I bought two and the cat did not print. I went to Customer Service and they said I had to meet the $12 after the sale prices…which was still a decent price and there are days I’m just not up to arguing so I got two more using $1/2 qs and rerang, but it still did not print. Eventually they just gave me the $4, but by then the ice cream had nearly melted!

This is exactly the problem I had today. The cat didn’t print out even after buying 4. Did 2 different scenarios neither printed out a cat. The cashier said they were printing out fine yesterday when the customers bought 2. I just received my coupons today, and couldn’t take full advantage.. : (

While I was there, a bunch of other people were in line with sale items that rung up wrong, so it makes me wonder if their system ended the sales early or something went wrong? Either way, it was a fiasco and couldn’t do the rolling scenario I had hoped for.

I had the same problem – definitely over $12 in shelf price but no cat.

I’m having trouble understanding this deal and I can’t see the receipt.
Are you saying that Weis sells Edy’s for $6.67 for 1.5 quarts of ice cream and the sale is 1/2 price but you use the shelf price not the sale price to count toward the $12?
Thanks
Jamee says
Yep! The actual shelf price ia quite a bit higher than the sale price, and the catalina prints based on the shelf price. I normally go to the weisishop website to check the shelf price before i even venture to the store,it will show you all the info you need on there.
Cathy R says
Can you get deals like this just once a week? I also have the same question sometimes at Weis with the must buy 4. What happens if you buy more than 4?
Jamee says
I do multiple transactions on these kinds of sales with no problem. With the must buy 4 sales, if you buy more or less in that transaction the price will be higher. Unless you see something that says only one offer per household, you can normally do multiple transactions.
