Obviously the company has much at stake for the worldwide success of electric cars , and this Supercharger network should do a lot to alleviate concerns of those buyers hesitant to purchase an electric car due to range anxiety. They may still use batteries, but now they are charged up using a natural, renewable resource.

But oil is a finite resource, no matter how you slice it. Subsidize electric cars for the masses. Increase fuel efficiency standards to a level that actually makes a difference – like 40 or 50 MPG for any and all cars sold in America. That’s great, I suppose.
