     Farmers Market/Music and a Movie in the Park-
     
    Come out to Heritage Park from 4pm - 7pm every Friday through July 13 for the Chicago Street Farmers Market. Local farmers will be selling fresh produce, plants, honey, eggs, baked goods, and more. Live entertainment will begin at 5:30 and at dusk, a feature movie presentaion will be played on the giant inflatable movie screen! Bring your lawn chairs and picnic baskets (or purchase concessions sold on site) and come out to Heritage Park for an evening under the stars.

    Meet our park guide at the Nature Center and we will take a walk on one of the trails in the park. We will be led by one of our local plant experts! On this trip you will get to see rare flowers and unique plants that are specific to this local region.

    Campfire Talk: Rare Plants and Animals of Little River Canyon
    Little River is home to over 100 rare species. National Park interpreter Larry Beane will introduce you to a number of them. Children will get to feed a model of a local carnivorous plant, the endangered Green Pitcher Plant.

    4th of July Flag Making & Parade
