I’m Having Their Baby tells the too-often untold story of the birth mother and her experience in making this difficult and emotional choice. These women come from states all over the country and many of the birth mothers teenagers and some are well into their twenties. If you haven’t watched the show, you will want to get your tissues ready. The show is emotional, but usually makes me end up in tears of joy. It makes my heart happy to watch these situations turn out so well.
I am anxious to hear the birth mom’s stories on I’m Having Their Baby season 2. Watching these parents struggle to make this decision is so raw and real. Watching I’m Having Their Baby makes me realize how incredibly tough this decision is to make. I couldn’t imagine having to be in that situation. However, I feel like these birth moms are heroes. They give these children a chance at the very best life. Many of these moms want nothing more than to keep their baby. They just can’t, for reasons we all won’t or don’t understand, but they are brave enough to give another family a child to love.
The journey for the adoptive parents isn’t easy either. There are ups and downs, as well as uncertainty. Many of these couples have tried on their own or have been waiting a long time and these babies are precious gifts.
Season Two of I’m Having Their Baby will continue on this path, delving deeper into the lives of birth mothers entering the adoption process, their family and friends affected by their decision and in some cases the potential adoptive couples. The premiere is TONIGHT, 6/12 @ 10/9c.
While we get ready for tonight’s premiere, you can watch Season 2 Trailer:
Each episode follows two pregnant women who have made the choice to place their babies for adoption, and are making the life changing decisions that come next. In getting to know the birth mother, and in some cases the birth father and potential adoptive couple, the hour-long episodes allow viewers to bear witness to the adoption process and heart wrenching final decision that each woman must face.

I really like this show. The best part of the show for me is being able to see the birth parents emotional struggle with having to give up the baby. You see the love they have and would love to keep the babies but struggle with the financial cost of having a baby. They are faced with giving the baby up for adoption and possible giving the baby a better life then they can provide but at the cost of losing their baby.

Such an emotional episode! I felt so bad for the adoptive parents in the Tory episode, but was glad she made it work with Mike.

I couldn’t believe Sharanda just driving herself away from the hospital! My favorite part was when Sarah and Mike? (Tory’s first choice of adoptive parents) got a little boy.

Wow! Thank you so much for posting about this. I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old and watching this show is just so emotional. I even got my mom to watch the show too! I cannot imagine how hard it would be to give your baby away especially once you hold your baby. It is impossible not to love the baby you carried for 9 months. I am so shocked that Tory kept the baby. I love that Mike mentioned how his church supported him and came together to help them provide for this new little life. Another small little part I liked it when Sharanda mentioned she wished she could just “go into space for a few seconds” so she could just get a break. Pregnancy is an emotional things and sometimes you get so overwhelmed. I understand just wanting a break. I truly enjoyed the whole show and its hard to pick ONE favorite part but I want to say thank you for bringing this show to my attention and I will definitely be watching more!! I am hooked! Thank you forthemommas!!Such a hard, hard decision to let a baby go, I cannot imagine! And I think my favorite part is Sharanda driving away after JUST having a baby!! MORE POWER TO HER!!

I have the DVR set AND am planning on staying up late to watch it The DVR just in case my baby wakes up during the show. Hoping no more trains derail in beautiful Norwood and knock my electric out. Or these storms that are supposed to come through down a power line. Cannot wait!
