Father's Day: Gulf Coast Exploreum 50% off Admission for Dads June 17

Gulf Coast Exploreum staff work to set up thhe upcoming exhibit \Workmen assemble part of the exhibit "Megalodon, The Largest Shark that Ever Lived" at the Gulf Coast Exploreum Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. The exhibit, which opens Jan. 28, explores the massive shark which vanished an estimated 2 million years ago. According to the Exploreum's web site visitors can enter a full-size sculpture of Megalodon. Visitors will learn about the shark's size, structure, diet, lifespan, relatives, neighbors, evolution, extinction and the science that continues to reveal Megalodon's tale. The Exploreum is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Family memberships are available for only $100 and include unlimited visits to the Exploreum; discounts on Gift Shop purchases, camps and birthday parties; and free admission to more than 250 science centers around the world.
