What does SCR mean? I’m looking at the Clear Blue Easy.
I also praise you for the great job you do on your website and for being so patient when others are rude to you. You do a lot of work on here and people should be thankful for that.
I too have found different Rite Aids to go to that aren’t in heavy traffic areas, they don’t ever seem to run out.
Shannon says
@Cheryl,
Hi Cheryl, SCR is single check rebate – you must submit your receipt online and get a check back in the mail http://www.forthemommas.com/riteaid/rite-aid-101

The twin packs of the arrid xx aerosol deodorant are also marked at 2 for 6.00 and producing the $4.00 ups. Makes them .50 a can.
Karla says
So, I’m new to all these matchups….could you please explain the monthly UPRs??? I understand the normal UPRs, but don’t know about the monthly ones, or even where I would find them if I were to look somewhere other than this site…help please.
Shannon says
@Karla,
The monthly UPR are just tagged in your store. {or not}. There is no publication with them in it. I post them here each month when they come up.

double check the math on the Finish. My calculations come up to .75 each after all q’s. am i wrong? (would be great if they were .25 each)
Shannon says
It is $.25, for some reason the Video Values isnt showing up.
$5.99 – $2.25-$2.25 = $1.49 – $1.00 Video Values = $.49 or $.25 each
Brandi says
@ Amber take your ad to walmart and have them price match it for you :-)
Sarah says
I think the try me free coupon for Theraflu from this weekend’s paper is for the same type that is on sale, making it a moneymaker after rebate.
trish says
I have bogo coupons for the colgate sensitive that came in the coupon packs a couple weeks ago, woot woot.
Brenda says
There’s a new Hormel coupon in the SS 2/13. It’s $1.00/3 which would make the chili a MM.
Amber says
I special ordered 12 of the Dove deodorant so that I would not be clearing the shelves. I did not go early on Friday to do my shopping because I was counting on my special order. I went today after the truck delivered and my Dove did not come and now the shelves are cleared. I am not sure how to win sometimes with Rite-Aid. Either you have to clear the shelves to get what you want because they are so low in stock or you try and do it right and you don’t get any :(
Ruth says
@Amber, At Rite Aid, the term clearing the shelves doesn’t really apply because their stock is so low. At a place like Giant, yes, if you take 20 items, ok, you may be a little greedy. If you spent your time going to Rite Aid, CVS or Walgreens, spending the money on gas, I think you have the right to get whatever you want. I also order items at Rite Aid but I never get them, the only way I get what I need is by having the manager putting some items in the back for me.
Emma says
well I dont think that is right for them to put things in the back for you, you need to take the chance like everyone else and get there when they have them on the shelf.
Shannon says
They aren’t “putting things back”, you can go into Rite Aid and special order too. This is a order they place for you in advance.
siobhan says
Could I use the $2 off clarol nice and easy foam and use my free product coupon as well? To make it a $2 money maker? Plus the $1 up+
Shannon says
@siobhan,
No, only one manufacturer coupon per.
Sandy says
If anybody still has their Excedrin FREE coupons from 2 months ago you can use this week to get an extra $1 UPR and counts towards $100 Rewards program as well.
sherry says
@Sandy, Thanks!
Robin says
The bengay coupon must depend on your location as I thought that I would try and I got $3. I am in TN.
Barb says
Riteaid is almost always out of stock of the sale items. It is very frustrating. Any suggestions?
Scherrye Baker says
I’ve notice certain ones in my area run very low all the time. Others seem to keep more stock on their shelves. You may want to check out a few other sites to see if they are stocking better than the one you generally go to. The manager at my local rite aid is very good about holding items for me when new stock arrives. She will even phone me & let me know when she has it & puts it on her desk for me. Hope this helps.
Emma says
well excuse me but I dont feel that it is right for managers or store workers to put things back for some, you need to take the chance like everyone else and try to get them by being there when they have them out.
mouni says
@Barb,
That’s why I started going very early Sunday morning. As soon as the store opens.
Kara says
Get rain checks they are good for 30 days I think. My Rite Aid subtracts the UPs from the price, you don’t get UPs but you don’t have to pay as much out of pocket. As long as your coupons don’t expire it’s all good. I also ask when they get there shipment through the week, my store is Thurs. and then go back that day. Hope that helps!
Tricia says
Always get rainchecks!
Ann says
@Barb, Check around! We live in a fairly rural area. I have to drive 20 minutes to get to the store but there is a Rite Aid in any direction. I have found one that is better than all the rest in my area. They don’t have the best customer service but they have the best stock.
Michelle says
@Barb, Same here Barb! My Rite Aid does a terrible job in stocking anything! Last week they had a grand total of 2 betty crocker cake mixes. The week before the had NO Edy’s ice cream. The freezer was completely empty. And I really doubt that anyone was there before and bought it all. It’s just how they are. They don’t bother stocking very well at all. I complained once about it but it doesn’t seem to have much of a difference.
Julie says
@Barb, I would try to shop on Sunday morning first thing, and also find out when your store gets its stock in. My stores get new stock in on Wednesday, so by Thursday they have pretty much unpacked it all and I can find the sale items!
Amanda says
@Barb,
I have to go first thing on Sunday morning when they open, if i know something will sell out fast… We have actually started talking to managers at different Rite Aids here- and now we drop them off a list of what we think will sell fast, so they can prepare. Not that they will always have enough. But it will help them..
lana says
@Barb,
try going early in the morning!!!
i was having the same issue. then one sunday i decided to go early on the first day the sale starts…. other bargain hunters/ coupon peeps were already out… if you want the good stuff you must get there before its gone!
Kristin L. says
@Barb,
The stores in my area (Richmond, VA) have started handling rainchecks a little differently on items that produce +UP Rewards. They are having customers go ahead and pay for the items on the spot, so the +UP Rewards print out for you like normal. Then you can come back to the store and pick up your stuff later when they have it in stock again.
Apparently this is a new thing, or at least it seemed that way when I paid for several out of stock items today at 2 different stores. One store took my name and number and wrote the items I’ll be coming to get on the back of some scrap paper! And the other store just made a note on my receipt and said to bring it back to the store with me when I come back from my stuff later in the week! I don’t mind paying and coming back later for my stuff, but it doesn’t seem like the method they are using is very good, especially for a metro kind of area.
I guess we will see what happens when I go back!
Lydia says
@Kristin L., From working in retail I really doubt that this is legal to do. And furthermore, what if they for some reason never get an item in (such as if the item is discontinued) then you are stuck.
Amanda says
the Bengay $3 Q must have changed.. it only printed $1 for me.
Tami R. says
@Amanda, I just printed mine and it was $3 off?
Amanda says
I got a 50 cents.. haha
Shannon says
@Amanda,
You keep your $.50, I want Tracy’s dollar. LOLLL
Amanda says
@Shannon,
No kidding! But i did find a couple $1 Q’s I had :)
Tracy says
Might be a regional thing, but I also have a $1.00 off ANY Colgate toothpaste in my SS 1/30/11. It expires 2/19/11.
Shannon says
@Tracy,
yep , most areas got $.35/1 {trade ya??}
Tracy says
@Shannon, I guess it all works out in the end. Our Chex Mix is $.50 off 2, not 1 like yours.
Shannon says
@Tracy,
I am laughing over here, wouldn’t it be nice if we all got the SAME high value coupons.
Janice K. says
@Shannon, I actually ended up with all of those values. I bought different papers covering different areas. It’s amazing how it changes within a 20 mile radius.
Tracy says
@Shannon,
It would be nice! Another thing I’m seeing is that there is a video value for $1/2 Jif. If my math is right, it should look like this:
Buy 2 Jif $2.22 each
Use $1/2 Feb. VV
= $3.44 oop
Get 2 $1 UPR
= $1.44 for 2
