In an effort to find some extra money to fund our Christmas Savings Account , I'm doing a pantry challenge in February. My goal is to plan February's menu around what is currently in my pantry and freezer and fill in any needs at the store, but reduce my overall monthly grocery expenses.

You can read the previous posts on my progress here , but here’s a recap of the variety of ways I’ve found the money since February: In February, I received a check from Ebates for $40.92. This is money I earned from my Christmas shopping last year, so it’s appropriate that I apply it to my Christmas savings.

So far I’ve found the money in a variety of ways since February: In February, I received a check from Ebates for $40.92. This is money I earned from my Christmas shopping last year, so it’s appropriate that I apply it to my Christmas savings. I had amassed $70 and thought it was a perfect addition to our Christmas account.

I'm using a savings account that was used previously for another goal. I have a plan for February. February's Assignments. By our next meeting on February 25, your first assingment is to open up a designated savings account specifically for your Christmas savings. It's awesome. How did you do?

Found Money in January: I have an old savings account that I hold on to, because it’s at the same bank as my kids’ savings accounts. I bought a new machine that will be delivered in early February. Moving on… My new monthly challenge for everyone is Frugal February.
