It’s a tight budget and I failed miserably recently, but we have lots of financial goals, so I need to get it back in line. Monday: I never made the baked ziti last weekend like I thought I would, so I made it on Monday, because I knew I would need leftovers on Tuesday night. It was a busy night, so we ate leftover baked ziti.

My husband and I had leftovers, one daughter had breakfast-for-dinner, and the other daughter had a can of soup. Wednesday: leftover night. Our monthly grocery budget for my family of 4 is $500.

We used gift cards on 3 nights, ate leftovers on 1 night, and grilled burgers on the last night. The restaurant isn’t exactly kid-friendly and we were waiting for the right time to use. , we’re working on our Financial Vision Board in the month of June. One of the gift cards was given to us TWO years ago for Christmas.
