Southern Museum of Flight's free movie series starts Friday

Southern Museum of Flight announced their first free movie night at the museum event for 2013 earlier this month. Go

to see my post.  Every fourth Friday of the month at 7 p.m. you can stop by and watch a free movie with an aviation theme.

The films will be shown in the south hanger where the Russian helicopter is on display.  No outside food will be allowed, however they will have popcorn and drinks available for purchase, $3 for popcorn and $2 for sodas.

  • March 22:  The Legend of Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club
  • April 26:  Dr. Strangelove or: How I learned to stop worrying and Love the Bomb
  • May 24 Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines or How I flew from London to Paris in 25 hours 11 minutes
  • June 28:  Airplane!
  • July 26: Amelia
  • August 23:  The Right Stuff
  • Sept. 27 Battle of Britain
  • Oct. 25: Strategic Air Command
  • Nov. 22: Memphis Belle
  • Dec. 27: Tora! Tora! Tora!
