Coming home, the flight from Florida to Philadelphia was delayed causing us to miss the only flight from Philly to Harrisburg for the day. We had two options: wait a day to leave Florida or rent a car once we got to Philly and drive to our parked car at the Harrisburg airport. Ask and ye shall receive!

I bought these after our bags got stolen from the trunk of our rental car in San Francisco when we were, literally, 50 feet away having tea. Now, I use these for my laptop, headphones, car keys, etc. I also like to take my shoes off on long flights (I wear slippers. I'm not gross.), 17.99 | non-cushion version $10.99

If you’re open to flying or driving, compare the cost of flights to the estimated cost of gas. If you’re flying, you’ll want to book flights as early as possible. As flights are booked, and seats become more in demand, the prices will increase. It’s too risky. We almost always drive!

Pay an extra $50 or $100 for a flight that leaves at 11 a.m. I won’t have to drive so much; maybe I won’t even have to get a rental car. Purchasing Convenience. I’m known for being willing to pay a convenience fee. instead of 6:30 a.m.? Sign me up! Sure thing!

(He You don’t have to stick exactly to the plan (a little flexibility makes for a better trip), but if you have your airfare, hotels, and rental cars arranged ahead of time, it makes things a little smoother.
