UNOFFICIAL COUPON POLICY --

Here is a summary of their coupon policy which can vary by location:

1.  They double coupons on Monday only up to $1

2.  They do take internet printables but with manager approval only

3.  They do take competitor coupons (grocery stores only) but you can not stack a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon.

4.  Store coupons do not double

5.  They do not allow overage, the register will auto-adjust coupon for overage.

6.  They ad match other competitors Tuesday through Sunday

Go

HOW I APPROACHED THE TRIP -- I WENT THROUGH MY COUPONS AND PICKED OUT $1 COUPONS THAT WERE EXPIRING SOON AND THAT I KNEW WOULD BE RELATIVELY CHEAP.  IT WORKED.

YOU CAN

MATCH.  GO

TIP FROM BBM FAN --

Be wary at FG, watch the doubling like a hawk. They do not allow for overage, BUT the software screws up when it's something like this hypothetical scenario: Each item is 80 cents. Coupon is 60 cents off 2. So you pick up two items for a t

otal of $1.60. Coupon should double to $1.20 off (total is 40 cents) but the computer messes up and only doubles to 80 cents (the price of one, so total is 80 cents).
Was a cashier at FG. (maybe they fixed it, it's been a few years...but I doubt it).
Love FG by the way! Just watch the doubling.

Here's Susan Sweatman's trip:

I spent $50 and got $125 worth of food. I spent 1/2 of the $50 on pepsis (4/$10) and 88 cent Gatorades and a gallon of milk. I'm quite pleased. I did learn that Food Gaint will allow internet printed coupons but won't allow for overages if the coupon is for more than the price. Ex: I had coupons for $1 off 2 Sauers mixes, which doubles to $2, but they are only 84 cents each. I got them free but couldn't use the overage on something else. If I could have used all the overages I would have gotten everything for about $30.
