I designed everything, built the cedar beds from scratch, put up wire fencing, built vertical growing structures, and hauled in the soil.

TikTokers are saying they hated growing up in an ingredient household (“Mom, why don’t we have snacks??”), It’s a home that stocks mostly, well, ingredients, instead of ready-to-eat foods. I mean, you probably do end up eating healthier when you tend toward stocking ingredients vs. ready-to-eat foods.

Growing up in the fifties made me everlastingly grateful for a number of things, such as hot running water, central air conditioning, automatic dishwashers, TV remote control, the internet, personal computers (typewriters really sucked – no backspacing!) Food/shopping. Fast food was rare. People cooked and ate at home.
