Ever had a hot dog on a waffle?
Me neither but this blog feature shared by Martha Stewart's site has me thinking about it.

Here's what she says about the process:
Here’s the waffle recipe (hotdogs and favorite condiments included):
Waffle Dogs
Waffles
1 2/3 cups flour
1/3 cup cornmeal
2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast (not active dry)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk, room temperature
4 tablespoons melted butter
4 tablespoons safflower oil
2 large eggs
COOK YOU HOTDOGS
Garnishes, your favorites -- She suggests peanut butter, maple syrup, ketchup, and mustard
Some of her directions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the butter, oil, milk, butter, oil, and eggs. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until combined. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
2. The next morning, grease a waffle iron. Depending on your waffle iron, spoon batter as specified into iron and cook until the waffles are crisp and golden.
3. For the sandwiches: Prepare the hotdogs as you like. You can cook them in a skillet with a little oil, until crisp, or in boiling water, until heated through. Cut each hotdog in half lengthwise and place on a waffle. Top with your favorite condiment (or serve on the side for dipping), and place another waffle on top.
