I just did this deal today, but the $2 ECB didn’t print. I asked the cashier and she said I don’t get it because I already got the body wash for free. I wasn’t in the arguing mood today, but its still bugging me! After using a previous $2 ecb I only paid $2.11 for both items so not too bad!

I was dissppointed when I went to cvs today and they didn’t let me do the olay cleansing cloth and bodywash deal. They said I had to pay the higher priced item and get the lower priced item free. So the cashier was charging me for the bodywash that was $6.99 even though the coupon said you get the bodywash free when you buy the cleansing cloths. I just told her that I wasn’t going to take it afterall. I’ll try another cvs, hopefully I’m successful.
Cheryl says
The cashier at my CVS tried to do this to me too. I showed her the coupon again and explained that it said if you buy the cleanser, the body wash is free. Then she changed it for me.

How would the Olay deal play out at Rite Aid? It’s BYGO 50% off this week. The cheapest facial cleanser is $4.79 (as per the web site). Could you use two BYGO coupons and two $2 coupons too bringing the total to $3.19 for the four products?
Also, others are reporting being able to use their $2 coupon first then scanning their BOGO at CVS and having both accepted. Can anyone confirm?
Barb says
Even if it works, you shouldn’t use it because then you would be using two coupons for one bodywash which is not allowed.
Melissa says
CVS coupon policy says “two coupons May be used on a buy one, get one Free promotion as long as it does not exceed the item total.”
Barb says
You are right, but that’s for CVS b1g1 free promotions (a.k.a. sales), not for B1G1 coupons. You are only allowed to use one manufacturer coupon per product.
The CVS coupon policy says:
Buy One, Get One Free Coupons
• Buy One, Get One Free Promotions may be combined with a Buy One, Get One Free coupon.
• Two Coupons may be used on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion.
When they use the word “promotion” they mean sale. They are in no way saying that you can use two manufacturer coupons (B1G1 free or otherwise) on one item. If it were a CVS coupon and a manufacturer coupon, that would be another story.
Shannon says
Melissa,
You cannot use both – that would be using 2 manufacturer coupons on one item. That is not permitted ever.
Melissa says
I was looking at the BYGO completely opposite of what it was. But, just for clarification, could I use a value coupon on the item I was buying & use a BOGO for the free item? These BOGOs get me all the time!
I’m still interested in how it would play out at Rite Aid with their sale (because we’re in a CVS test market area without ECBs on the Olay).
Barb says
Yes, so for the Olay bodywash/cleanser deal above, the 2 B1G1 coupons are to get the bodywashes for free and the $3 off of 2 is for the cleansers.
You can do the same at Rite Aid (it’s in their policy)…you can use a B1G1 coupon to get an item free and then an additional coupon for the item you are actually paying for.
Barb says
There is also a $3 off 2 olay cleansers coupon you can use with the B1G1 to get 2 cleansers (I got the face towelettes) and 2 bodywashes for $4.98, plus you get the $2, making it $2.98 for all or about $.75 for each item!
Jen says
where is the $3/2 coupon from?
Leslie says
2/12 RP
jo says
.what cleanser did u buy?? did u pay all together
Barb says
I bought the cleansing clothes, but you can buy any of the cleansers that are $3.99.
Lori says
Thanks for the tip. I just went and got the same deal!
Mary says
could you tell me how that works? I come up blind to this scenario and how to get it all for such a cheap price.Would you believe I haven’t set foot in CVS in over a year. Shame on me.I don’t even know what the red machine is to scan tags for more savings.can you reply?
Barb says
You need 2 buy one olay cleanser get one olay bodywash free coupons and one $3 off of 2 olay cleansers coupon. With the B1G1 coupons you get the bodywashes free, so you’re starting total would be $21.87 for everything. Then subtract $13.98 for the bodywashes, which puts you at $7.98. Then, if you have the $3 off 2 coupon, that would put you at $4.98 for everything. THEN on top of all the you get $2 ECB for buying the bodywash (23 oz or total effects 15 oz I believe).

make sure to keep the receipt for the rebate
Allison says
questlion, when submitting the suggested above deal for the rebate, can I circle the $6.99 bodywash that I got for free and apply it to the $50.00 for the rebate?
Another question, what if I used extracare bucks to pay for the Olay will that impact the rebate?
THANK YOU
Barb says
You can circle the bodywash because the $50 for the rebate is BEFORE coupons. Using extra care bucks won’t affect the rebate.
Allison says
THANK YOU, Barb! You just made my day!
