Not Your Mommas Frozen Food – Dinner With Barber Foods
Gone are the days where frozen food meant solid blocks of mystery meat in gravy that you ate in front of the TV. Today’s frozen food aisle is definitely Not Your Mommas Frozen Food. If you take a walk down your grocery store’s frozen food aisle you’ll see a large assortment of tasty meal options including meat, side dishes, vegetables and even fruit. It is also a great way to have flavorful veggies and fruits even when they are out of season. You can purchase a wide variety of foods to create a well-balanced meal any day of the week.
During my recent trip to Weis Markets, I was looking for frozen food items to have on hand for weeknight meals. I found Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts in the “quick cooking” freezer section at Weis. You can usually find this section near the fresh meat department. Look for the new Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts recipe and packaging.
I picked up a few Barber Foods Chicken Cordon Bleu and Chicken and Broccoli, as well as some frozen vegetables and sides so I always have the ingredients on hand to for a weeknight dinner or to serve to guests.
Just like with fresh foods, you need to make sure your frozen foods are cooked thoroughly. The stuffed chicken breasts should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees. Note to self: Buy a smaller meat thermometer. The only one I had was a large one. Getting an accurate temperature is fun when the thermometer is as big as the chicken breast!
This is the meal I created completely from the frozen food aisle. From freezer to table it took about 35 minutes. It was tasty and well-rounded including a Barber Foods Stuff Cordon Bleu Chicken Breast, steamed green beans and sweet potatoes with a little brown sugar. I loved the new Barber Foods recipe. I thought the new breading was lighter compared to the old recipe. It tasted more like a breading I would make at home. It really let the moist chicken and cheesy goodness shine. This was our Sunday dinner.
How will you use Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts and the frozen food aisle to make your next dinner? Here is even more reason to use Barber Foods in your next dinner, you can save $1.00 on your next purchase of Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts when you sign up for special offers.

LOL That isn’t weird. I love the melty cheese so I have to eat it together to make sure I get cheesy goodness in each bite! Ok, now I am hungry!

Barber chicken products are one of the few frozen products I will serve to guests. I place one cordon bleu breast over rice, add a little gravy on top, and add something green to the plate. Makes it look like I can REALLY cook!!!!

Sounds yummy Blake! You put it together, that counts as cooking in my book!
