Frugal Living: What to do with pressed powder when it breaks

Ever drop your powder and it shatters into a million pieces with a few chunky pieces left?

Well it happened to me this morning.

In the past I've just crushed it up in a bowl and left it at home and used a brush.

This compact though needs to be portable.

So I Googled for some solutions.

I didn't want to throw it away or leave it in my purse.

Here's what I ran across.

Tips for fixing the pressed powder included:

Pouring rubbing alcohol, tiny amounts, over the pressed powder until it forms a paste.

Smooth it out in the pan of the compact, using your finger.  You could wrap your finger in a plastic bag so it won't stick to you.

Let it air dry.

It will be darker then turn lighter as the rubbing alcohol evaporates.

So I'll try it and let you know what happens.

One beauty forum suggested baking the powder dry after applying the alcohol, but I found that a little too time consuming.
