Frugal Living: Keeping Small Bags of Ice, Saves on Ice Purchases During Power Outages

If you're power is out due to the storms yesterday you are probably worried about the items in your freezer and fridge.

Not much you can do now other than buying bags of ice and packing them in your fridge and freezer.

But for the next power outage make sure you take some precautions.

1.  Keep bags of ice -- (store bought or homemade) in the freezer.  -- The big bags can be stuffed around frozen meats and other investments in the freezer.

2.  Freeze jugs of water -- s

- These are perfect for placing near jugs of milk or fruit juice.

3.  Make smaller bags of ice like gallon size and sandwich size -- You'll use these to pack in your crisper and around smaller products you don't want to spoil.
